Sharpton supporters...check in.
Edited on Tue Aug-08-06 11:35 PM by Beausoir
Given the thrashing I have taken this evening for daring to say he is a negative for the Lamonte campaign I am curious about him and his DU supporters.

What and where do you want to see Sharpton? On the BIG ticket as President? As a VEEP?

Who is supporting him? What are you doing..actively DOING to support him?

6. He's not a politician but a civil rights activist
A few of you "saltines" and "dixiecrats" here probably hate his guts because of his stance on civil rights, I say leave him alone and let him speak his mind.

9. THANK YOU for your reply.
I'm not sure what a saltine is and I know I'm not a dixiecrat....but thank you for putting some effort into your response instead of just flaming.

7. I'd say Sharpton was more of an assett to Lamont:

36. Not sure if you know or not...
Al has a syndicated radio show, and for about two weeks he has been giving this election a lot of attention. Going as far as to air his show from Connecticut.

8. I'm a Sharpton admirer
But I'd have to know what I'm being asked to support him for.

I admire him for the same reason many others do; he blew everyone off the stage with his wit and intellect and guts during the 04 Dem debates.

I do however recognize that some of his past actions make him controversial. So I'm a realistic admirer. I do want his sharp(ton) mind in the mix for the long term; I'm just not sure in what capacity.

10. As President, I think he would have done a lot better than
the present weed wacker in office, if you want an opinion.

14. I didn't know you were asking for recommendations.
I am confused as to what you are asking for. It seems to me you are just attacking Sharpton with no facts to back your attacks with. IMHO

12. Hell yeah, I like Al! Forget all that Brawley crap.
In fact, when I took a test I found out that AL SHARPTON represented my issues closer than any other candidate. I love the guy's wit, too.

Does have a stinky past?
What was it? Anti semitism or anti gay stuff? Or corruption?
Might as well bring it up it here and get it out in the open before I accually support the guy.I Don't want to support an asshole.I want to be an educated voter.

Do you think he has gotten over it or not?

Kuchinich rocks either way,he is truly what this nation needs.
As for me his elfin look is just fine because his heart and voting record is clean unlike so many of the others running.
I voted for kuchinich.Still can't spell his name tho. If he runs I will fight for him. Help out the race in my state. When he voted to stop the imports of cat fur from china I nearly cried.Kuchinich has more morals in his pinky toenail than Liberman has in his whole body.

20. I absolutely support Al Sharpton.
I'm quite curious as to why one of the most outspoken advocates of the Democratic party is attacked like this.

So he was wrong on the Tawana Brawley thing.. how long ago was that? 15? 20 years ago? Its time to get over it.
