Jews against Lieberman
Just for the record, I am Jewish and I did the HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY dance when Lieberman lost. I think this crap spewed by right wingers like Limbaugh is the real anti-semitic drivel. Just because we are Jewish doesn't mean we will always vote for the jew, just like being black or female doesn't automatically means a vote for the same. The right wing is getting really desperate.

1. I believe strongly in
Tikkun Olam (repairing the world) and Lieberman definately isn't doing that by helping to murder Iraqi's and starve the poor here in the US.

2. Pete King (R, Rat Bastard) is the most recent guy who insinuated
Ned Lamont supporters are, in his words, "bigoted."

8. I love the scene in F911...
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 07:17 PM by Tandalayo_Scheisskop
Where King takes a gulp out of his drink and states that they got the election in the bag, because they count the votes. If he ain't as pissed as a newt in that scene, I'll shit in my hat and wear it.

18. I live in the district of the Harvey haircutted Mr. King
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 08:41 PM by liberaldemocrat7
I'm Jewish and I wanted Liberman to lose and he did. He appears a turncoat Jew like Abramoff and Ken Mehlman and William Kristol et al.

Mr. King appears a self serving follower of the Nassau County Republiklan party that has lost power in the last 6 years.

Never forget that 9-11 happened on Bush's watch and that we cannot trust Republicans to defend America and keep us safe.

21. Wow! Mehlman is Jewish?!
That never even occurred to me. I had him pegged as some kind of fundy Christian. That shows what I know!

29. Mehlman also keeps himself in the closet.
While the Republiklan party rails against gay marriage Ken Mehlman keeps his mouth shut and so does congressman David Dreier.

Republican economic policies have destroyed more marriages, killed more people and destroyed more lives than any issue they can trump up in an election campaign.

Just because your a US citizen doesn't mean you support US policy, either.

5. It is flat insane...
To think that jews vote for jews simply because they are both jews.

That is something best left to the fever dreams posted on the National Vanguard site, just below the sequel to "The Protocols of The Elders of Zion".

Of course, as a veteran of the music business, I have also been witness to what happens when jews go sour on each other. Eek. ;-)

7. Me too...and he never "felt" very jewish to me.
The Jewish culture I am from looked down on his preachy/moralizing style.

No offense to anyone, but his particular breed of sanctimoniousness always seemed more Christian to me than Jewish.

28. "his particular breed of sanctimoniousness always seemed more Christian
to me than Jewish". Speaking as an idiosyncratic Christian I think you're right about that though I would qualify your observation by adding "a particular breed of Christian" as not all Christians respond to this kind of sanctimonious display.

10. Right-wing racists think minorities are dumb
They think minorities will vote for someone simply because that person has the same background as them. With such a racist, condescending view, it is amazing that they still wonder why virtually every minority group in the nation votes Democratic...

15. I'm all for a certain Jew for President...
That would be Russell Feingold of course!

Or if Al Gore would select the right ('er make that "left") Jew this time for his running mate should he run in 2008. Though in my mind I like Russ the man more than him being "Russ the Jew", and I very much dislike Loserman the man vs. Loserman the Jew.

22. I stand shoulder to shoulder with my Jewish brothers and sisters
who seek to make this a better world.

Just like my brown, black, Buddhist, atheist, Christian, Muslim, oriental, easterm, western, all my brothers and sisters that want a better world!

It's not about Jews. It's about the super-rich elite like Bush and Cheney who want to be kings and queens. Those people are the enemy.

27. I'm Jewish, I live in Connecticut, and I voted for Lamont
Based upon some articles I read and speaking to people,
I think Lamont got more of the Jewish vote than Lieberman.

Except on US-Israeli foreign policy,
Lieberman's politics are more conservative than the average Jewish Democrat.

Go Lamont!

I'm caucasian, a female, a non-christian, an educator, a grandmother, single....

None of those characteristics are what I look at when I'm deciding who to vote for.

31. I HATE the anti-semitism charges in regard to our dislike of Lieberman.
That he's Jewish has NOTHING to do about the way I feel about him. I think that goes for the rest of the anti-Joe crowd here on DU. Plus, these people never reconcile that charge with the popularity of Russ Feingold here.
