www.joe2006.com is back at it folks!

UPDATE ON THE ATTACK ON THE LIEBERMAN CAMPAIGN WEBSITE

STATEMENT FROM SEAN SMITH: "For the past 24 hours the Friends for Joe Lieberman's website and email has been totally disrupted and disabled, we believe that this is the result of a coordinated attack by our political opponents. The campaign has notified the US Attorney and the Connecticut Chief State's Attorney and the campaign will be filing a formal complaint reflecting our concerns. The campaign has also notified the State Attorney General Dick Blumenthal for his review."

"We call on Ned Lamont to make an unqualified statement denouncing this kind of dirty campaign trick and to demand whoever is responsible to cease and desist immediately. Any attempt to suppress voter participation and undermine the voting process on Election Day is deplorable and has no place in our democracy."

Joe is scum. That is all.

2. You know, come to think of it, I ran out of wheat bread last night,
and I'm CERTAIN Ned Lamont stole into my house and ate it.

That goddamned Ned Lamont.

11. Demand That He Repudiate Such Clandestine Behavior Then!
Come to think, he was trying to steal my breakfast from me not too long ago, too. But a quick "Leggo My Eggo" and *poof* he was gone. Seeing as he did not put up much a fight, I pegged him a wimp. I see now that he simply changed strategies: unlike John Kerry, he didn't want to be known as a "Waffler."

14. John Kerry is granite.
Speak ye not against him.

He won my vote, he earned my vote, and he ought to be the president had Bush/Cheney not cheated like the slime-weasels they are.

18. Oh, I Know. I Yearn For What Coulda Beens Myself. But,
I try not to get too caught up in them. Fight on, move forward, go not quietly into that blah blah blah.

Although, come to think, I CAN picture John Kerry, about forty years from now, in a Harley Davidson commercial, can't you?

"I should have bought me that swing state."

My gut (which is not insignificant) is telling me that Al Gore just might be our Comeback Kid in 2008.

19. I expect Al to jump in. Many DU posts suggest otherwise, and that
view is legitimate, but the little elves speak, and they all say Al's interested in the top job.

And these are the blue elves, not the red elves.

Never listen to a red elf, no matter what.

Gore and Kerry ran better campaigns than they're given credit for in the "liberal" media, and needless to say, both were infinitely better qualified than Bush for the job.

In mentioning Gore, you remind me that he is a qualified citizen and then some, and I praise him full-throttle despite being a Bradley delegate in 2000. Gore's tall in every respect, and by all accounts, a great kisser.

Dubya's cheating deprived the country of an opportunity to be led by Al Gore in 2000 and John Kerry in 2004, both intelligent, world-wise, diplomatic, well-read, deft thinkers. Suffering through 8 years of the Bush administration makes that opportunity all the more difficult to remember.

But things are lookin' up. I think in November we capture at least one chamber of the Congress back, and I don't see the Republicans coming together over one candidate in 08.

25. Well, Everything Hinges on the Middle East, Really.
If all the problems that Bush & Co. have created over there suddenly evaporate before the presidential election, I don't know how the Democrats are going to be able to articulate a "better way" around the topics of globalization or rising gas prices. If the problems in the Middle East (I can no longer limit it simply to the "War in Iraq") get resolved within the next two years then I don't know if the American people will have the heart to soundly punish the Republican Party for the completely deviant and criminal foreign and domestic policies they've been foisting upon us for the past six years.

I can actually see a moderate Republican posing a huge threat by pulling a Nixonian "I promise to draw the troops down" campaign promise. Holy Cow--what's Jeb doing? Gawd. Now I've scared myself out of another night's sleep.

I hope that the Democrats take the House, and then I hope that Murtha becomes Majority Leader.

I wish I knew how to get in touch with political campaigns. I feel so isolated down here in Charlotte. All I seem to be able to do is watch, type, hold onto my Eggos and try not to go crazy.

27. Agree with you that a sudden upturn in fortunes in the ME would
make a case for a lot of Republicans, but my god the headlines are gruesome. I'm not seeing Bush's "diplomatic skills" winning the day.

Clinton and Carter invested time, talent, and energy into Middle East negotiations with discernible results. This administration has more or less ignored it from the first hour after the 2000 inaugural.

And I definitely think Condi is in over her head.

Charlotte. I like your part of the country a lot. Keep plugged into the web and the on-line bloggers will be right there.

But hang in there. It's getting more exciting by the hour now. That first week in November's going to be a wild one.

23. The REAL issue, IMHO, is that this incident seems to have uncovered...
..some FRAUDULENT claims in HolyJoe's campaign filings
with the FEC.

His OFFICIAL documents claim that his campaign is (was)
paying $1500/month for webhosting by a completely DIFFERENT
company. I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that falsifying
those forms is a crime.

I really hope SOMEONE is looking into that particular
issue.

Today, when I looked, I found only five. I suspect Lamont (or his minions) are at the bottom of this. I call upon Ned Lamont to renounce this kind of ersatz pastry pilfering immediately!

How can I eat a turkey sandwich without mustard?
Guess I'll just have to vote for Lieberman.

You don't skimp on the mustard, in Joe's book.

How? Because it was "FRENCH's mustard. (John Gibson pointed out that Lamont was FFRREENNCCHH! and therefore un-American).
And besides, Ned left behind the HEINZ ketchup.

24. Did you see the movie "Ghost?"
At the end some really scary green goblins emerged from the underworld to escort Patrick Swayzee's girlfriend's murderer into hell.
May "Fox News" suffer the same fate someday.

30. The goblins were black
and it was Patrick Swayzee's murderer that was grabbed by the goblins, not his girlfriend's. Don't you remember Demi saying "Ditto" in the resturant w/Whoopie?

Until the dittoheads came along, ditto was my favorite word.

For about six years, I have had a re-occuring dream of those goblins scaring the fuck outta The Decider.

That's what I would do if I were a goblin.
