For eight years we watched vicious attacks on a first family that had done nothing but try to serve the American people and bring justice to the world. Sure, they weren't perfect, but who is?

But now, while we watch what is arguably the WORST President in the history of our country shit all over our Constitution, the Geneva Convention, and everything it means to be an American, the only thing you have to say is to call us Bush haters.

Well, no shit. We've been "misled" into war, participated in the slaughter of countless civilians, sent 2500 hundred of our soldiers to the Great Beyond, practically crippled our armed forces, discovered that our President considers himself above any act of Congress, and are now being spied upon IN OUR OWN FUCKING COUNTRY while all too many people shrug and say "so what?."

What's to hate?

You people make me sick. Every one of you Bush apologists is a hypocritical gasbag of monumental proportions. If a Democratic government did 1/10 of these things, you'd be up in arms. Hell, you'd be calling for mass assassinations.

All we want is his impeachment. Clinton lied about sexual indiscretions. Bush lies about EVERYTHING. Yet you seem to consider him above reproach.

What's wrong with you people cannot be fixed. Therapy would be like a bandaid placed over a knife-wound to the belly. We used to think you were simply deluded. Maybe a bit confused.

No, I think now that you're clinically insane. Too crazy to be allowed to vote. You'd vote for a rabid pitbull if he could be taught to speak like a human being. As long as he mouthed the right catch-phrases.

This was written to fire up DUers and the like. Sometimes people need to be reminded who the REAL enemy is, don't you think?

To reach out to those you mention, I recommend "Dear Average Republican" and "Everybody Matters," both of which I posted on gather.com today and got some awesome responses.

It's a challenge to be persuasive to "opponents" when one doesn't care to brush up against them, eh?

I prescribe that 20 DUers on record here as being at polar opposites of the I/L situation share a dinner table and a couple bottles of wine, then report back with their findings.

I haven't gone on record about the I/P brew-ha-ha mainly because other than an excuse to draw us into a wider conflict, it doesn't mean jack to our situation, in fact it's a distraction. A highly effective one, but a distraction none.the.less.

Instead of investigations into war crimes, we get new legislation attempting to retroactively vindicate the guilty, under the radar, out of the news cycle which is consumed with tragedy barely impacting our day to day lives.

Instead of leadership we get shucking and jiving support for republicans incognito abusing our party name and giving spinectomes to anyone who would stand up and stand still long enough for the operation. Thanks to Russ for not standing still.

Instead of honest journalism we get sensationalism, lies and damned lies to distract us from what we can do, here, now, and when we finally manage to pull something off in the face of the obstructionist leadership, we get lied to about what just happened as well.

I'm so sick and tired of being sick and tired it makes me want to make a list of all those who must be punished, and set about implementing the punishment. I might as well devote myself to that because resources we could have used to achieve the greatness we could have attained has been stolen. We have been set back nearly 80 years financially, and environmentally both literally on earth and figuratively in the labor markets.

Yeah, I have been ignoring I/P as so much noise so I would indeed like to know what happens at such a party, maybe they would agree with me. Unlikely, but I can dream can't I?

I hate it when they dismiss us as Bush haters. It's just a way of saying that our opinions and beliefs don't matter. Absolutely all that the rightwing fucktards want, the sum total, all that they live and breathe for, is to be sucked up to. That's it. All they want is for everyone to fawn over them as if they are some demigod.

I should post this on our deptartment's bulletin board but I know some bush loving lackey would take it down.
