GOP IS worried about the Lieberman loss
I was skeptical until I read our local GOP mouthpiece this am - the Plain Dealer.

Mehlman was in town yesterday and he must have given them their talking points because this morning's edition is full of stories about how the anti-war sentiment that ousted Holy Joe won't happen here in Ohio. Uhhh-huh. This from a paper that NEVER reports bad news for the GOP.

1. Yeah right, no one in Ohio is upset abou tthe way things are going.
Dream on. They obviously have been ignoring the saga of Representative One. What does the Toledo Blade allow? They seem to be the closest thing to an actual newspaper left in Ohio. I was actually born in Canton, but I was transplanted to Texas at an early age in 1964 so I consider myself a Texan. Seems like long enough to me.

2. He wouldn't endorse the GOP senatorial candidate in
CT, the one running against Lieberman and Lamont, either. Tweety tried to pin him down several times on that, and he wouldn't do it.
