Flash: Combustibles can be substituted in personal containers!

Five years into the "War on Terror" our crack American terror experts discovered that potential explosives can be transported in shampoo, deodorant, baby food jars and other personal containers. In their zealous protection of Americans, personal containers will be banned from airplanes.

Rather than being embarrassed that it took five years to make the connection, the administration expects to have its senators and representatives re-elected.

Throw their incompetent asses out, I say!

Remember the woman who had to drink her own breast milk?

I've been told to sip my coffee at times to prove it was coffee. They're just expanding it because they didn't really want to make everyone leave their shampoo, toothpaste and makeup at home. Seems to me there has to be a better solution, but I see their point.

there ain't much room in a functioning ipod for detonators.

3. Why people don't check their luggage is beyond me

Yes, we've all heard horror stories about lost bags. However, it's a small enough percentage to trust the odds. I generally carry my laptop, my meds, and a change of undies in a carryon (usually a backpack) so if the worst happens, I'll be OK. I can shop for cheap clothing when I get there, if I have to.

I've never lost a bag in <shudder> 50 years of flying.
