I'm glad that this plot was foiled

and that there was no loss of life. God knows this planet has seen too much death and destruction over the last 3 years and I pray that an end comes soon. Wishful thinking on my part I know, but hey--that's my wish for everyone on the Earth.

However, I can't shake the part of me that wonders if this plot was discovered and/or happened at this particular time to distract from the up-coming elections here in the US. Let's keep the sheeple terrorized and on edge...only we(meaning the Repugs) can save you. It's not like we haven't seen this scenario before. Bushco just loves to trot out the "Terra" whenever it's needed to keep the subjects in-line

Maybe my tin-foil hat is too tight or perhaps it's the lies and corruption of Bushco that are pushing me in this direction. I don't know, but I'm praying that we-the voters-are smarter and will not fall for this crap again.

I guess only time will tell.

and it's August. This isn't good for Chimpy and co, since it looks like the brits are better than we are. If this was a political unveiling, it would be in September. (close enough to the election, but far enough away that some of the flight restrictions could be eased, and the terra level lowered, before people go to the polls)

I was trying to indicate how conflicted I feel about this. I wish I could have looked at this story and just been happy instead of wondering if it was something that was created to scare the masses.

If there is any political connection, it is possibly an al Qaeda attempt to influence the elections to ensure that the Republicans and Bush keep their power. Perhaps this was the substitute for an election eve bin Laden speech a la 2004.

and that's a fact, I remeber when the full blown alert that was imposed on New York city from intel/info that was 5 years old and Bush's numbers coincidently were tanking then too!!
