Useless thugs standing around. We are subject to all manner of "security," but damn little of it is smart. Yanking shoes off of 90 year olds in wheelchairs. Swabbing chemicals on stuffed Mickey Mouse souvenirs of kids leaving Disney World. Feeling up middle aged housewives. This is what passes for airport "security" these days. And the public just goes along with it because they are led to believe that anyone could be a terrorist and it's for their own good. Yep, the jails are just overflowing with elderly, wheelchair bound terror suspects. Pathetic.

They're trying to create this mythology of safety, security and efficiency around themselves, and they seem to buy into the myths.

It's too bad they don't understant that results require real work, not PR.
