Holy Crap, Fox News: Dems lead Reps 48%-30% for the fall elections
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,207825,00.html

You have to click on the PDF link at the bottom to get the full results where the congressional results are listed. It's as if Fox found out that their own party was screwed and they didn't want to make it a headline, because it isn't mentioned at all in the article.

But the poll breaks down like this:

Dems lead Reps 48-30% for the fall elections
51% have negative view of Republican Party, only 38% have positive
Dems have 47% positive view
Bush approval at 36%, disapproval at 56%

3. FReeper headline: Fox News just joined the liberal media
They've been with the liberal media all along. They are just less liberal than the other networks.

4. Now we know why they trotted out the OLD WARNING
about liquids, like we'd all forgotten about the new mom who had to drink her own breast milk.

However, the overall figure is meaningless. What might matter is district by district totals. This may not translate into much of a defeat for the GOP, since most folks think their SOB is tolerable, but YOUR SOB has got to go.

5. We need our positive view higher than that 47%
That's the number I've been focusing on all year. Much more than margin or Bush approval or anything else.

That positive number is the foundation, the teflon and margin for error. If we could get it to 50%+ with a cohesive message the significance toward November could not be understated. I'd gladly trade 6 or 8 points off that generic advantage to get the party approval up to 50.
