Mr. Lamont’s campaign manager, Tom Swan, responded to Mr. Lieberman today by continuing the Lamont strategy of highlighting Mr. Lieberman’s past support for President Bush’s war policy in some instances.

“Did Karl Rove write this attack line for Joe?” Mr. Swan said, referring to the president’s senior adviser. Mr. Rove told reporters this morning that he called Mr. Lieberman, whom he described as “a personal friend,” on the primary day on Tuesday to wish him luck against Mr. Lamont.

1. Go eye-ball the NYTimes right now.
George on one side and Joe on the other and they are yelling the same thing. My God give us a brake from them both.

2. It's pretty appartent that this is going to get really ugly before it's
over. And with KKKarl involved, how could it possibly be anything other than ugly? We know how he works, though, we can go back to 2000 and 2004 and see that. Wonder what new schemes he has up his sleeve?

4. When Donna Brazille was a guest on the (now canceled) CNN Crossfire.....
...she ALSO referred to Karl Rove as a "personal friend".

OK.....let's not get out the tin foil just yet....but...

Karl Rove considers Lieberman a personal friend, AND

Donna Brazille (who was on Gore's 2000 campaign team) considers Karl Rove to be a personal friend. What do we need to complete this circle?

Personally, I think Rove is trying to isolate Lieberman by saying they "are friends".....then NO ONE will be supporting Lieberman.

Then, the race in Connecticut will be between a Republican and Democrat only. IF Rove can manage to manipulate this into a very close race.....well, then they can bring in those "very, very, special" Republican voting machines.

VOILA! A Republican senator from Connecticut.

(Republiicans ARE NOT going to let go of their power with dignity.)

6. Does anyone have any idea why Rove & Bush are so desperate
about Lieberman losing the election, what is the deal. They seem more frantic about it than if it was a real republican losing an election. Also, Lieberman is so desperate about it. WTF.

7. Lieberman's loss weakens Senator Clinton's position....
as their chosen demo presidential contender for 2008 race.
