NOT exploding Gatorade, but used to HIDE explosives. Updated.

The suspects arrested in an airline bomb plot in Britain on Thursday had planned to conceal liquid or gel explosives inside a modified sports beverage drink container and trigger the device with the flash from a disposable camera, ABC News reported on its Web site.

The network, citing U.S. sources, also said five additional suspects in the airline bomb plot foiled by British police were still at large and being sought.

"The plotters planned to leave the top of the bottle sealed and filled with the original beverage but add a false bottom, filled with a liquid or gel explosive," ABC said. "The terrorists planned to dye the explosive mixture red to match the sports drink sealed in the top half of the container."...

Guess they should not allow tasted breast milk either, since could do same thing?

1. And what about concealing explosives inside...
...false breasts? All those silicon starlets will have to be taken aside for more thorough searching. How do I get a job in airport security?

18. maybe they will not allow clothes anymore?
Everyone will be required to fly naked underneath paper hospital gowns issued after a thorough cavity search.

4. The last time I flew...
...the airport security person felt up all over my bra. All over
the wire, around the entire bra and even in the cleavage.

Hello?????

My husband has yet to be that thorough!

When the security check was so comprehensive--I needed a cigarette when they were done!

I felt less ashamed during the one-night stand I had in college!

(Tip your waitress, try the pasta--I'll be here all week).

9. How did YOU get so lucky. It was my shoes that the
TSA were interested in. They did some type of chemical analysis on my Nikes. I'll be sure to wear the really smelly ones that I do my yard work in next time I fly!

I like the idea of the yard shoes...that'll give them a second thought about shoe searches.

In addition to the vigorous groping, I also had to take off my shoes.

Furthermore (and no I'm not making this up), they did chemical tests on my underwear that were in my carry-on bag.

No kidding!

17. OMG! Who would want that job ?
Oh wait, don't answer that. I guess that job could be very attractive to people with certain types of fetishes.

3. no, wait! Gatorade not hiding explosives
but Gatorade hiding the magic lucky nail clippers that give the terrorist the good fortune to find the C4 hidden in the seat cushion.

"The plotters planned to leave the top of the bottle sealed and filled with the original beverage but add a false bottom, filled with a liquid or gel explosive...The terrorists planned to dye the explosive mixture red to match the sports drink sealed in the top half of the container."

And ignite it how? A substance that sensitive to light would have to be kept in a light-tight false bottom purely as a practical matter, wouldn't it? Also, how could it be ignited with a camera flash without anyone noticing?

They must have gotten the idea from the guy who thought no one would notice him igniting his shoes.

10. Fiction is just as good as reality anymore. Dream up a plot
and you have the world eating out of your hand.

explode - my head is spinning, I give up. Did they have the materials, or just an idea to get them? Does any one know?

19. yeah i caught that right away
the exceptions for breast milk/baby crap are sentimental bullshit, the container of the baby bottle can just as well have something else in the bottom as the container of gatorade or red bull

either all should be allowed to have liquids or none, the exception for "baby" is bullshit, damn few babies need to fly or will remember going anywhere, damn few babies have business meetings to attend, damn few babies will get a kidney stone if they don't have their water on a flight that's delayed on the ground for hours...

fair is fair

20. I have read it both ways
Gatorade was just a decoy.
Gatorade was part of bomb precursor.

When two stories are used, it makes me suspicious. "Oh you don't like that one. Well, how about this?"
