Terra = Change the Subject
OK, this is what I think:

When 36% of the US thinks the gov't was involved in 9/11, that's a problem. When real Democrats rise up and throw out a fake one, that's a problem. When the Democratic party is viewed as stronger on national security by the voting public, that's a problem. When 60% of the US thinks that we should get out of Iraq, that's a problem. When Israel doesn't wipe out Hezbollah easily, that's a problem.

Lots of problems.

Cue Terra. Cue Red Alert. Cue flying restrictions. Cue Dick Cheney and his doomy predictions.

CHANGE THE SUBJECT AT ANY COST.

This is just way too convenient. First the Florida fiasco, then the "missing" Egyptians, and now this.
Anything to change the subject.

Terra is nothing more than state-sponsored political games and the sooner we recognize it, the better off we Democrats will be.

Unfortunately, that doesn't prevent a desperate Bushco, unable to rescue Republicans with fake terra, from resorting to 9/11 the sequel. That's the real worry as far as I'm concerned.

US Democrats say plot shows Iraq war a diversion

WASHINGTON, Aug 10 (Reuters) - Prominent Democrats said on Thursday a foiled plot in Britain to blow up U.S.-bound planes showed the Bush administration's pursuit of war in Iraq had diverted resources from the bigger threat of terrorism and made the danger worse.

...

"Five years after 9-11, it is clear that our misguided policies are making America more hated in the world and making the war on terrorism harder to win," Sen. Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts said.

Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid of Nevada said Bush and Congress needed to change course in Iraq and ensure Americans are protected around the world.

"The Iraq war has diverted our focus and more than $300 billion in resources from the war on terrorism and has created a rallying cry for international terrorists," Reid said.
