Of course there are terrorists.

No one is saying they're isn't. In fact, with this bunch in charge there are more terrorists than ever.

But are we wrong to be skeptical after all that's happened? After all the lies and plain old incompetence?

I won't bore you with all the details of all the lies and manipulations of this "administration": if you're a regular reader of DU, you know them by chapter and verse.

but not in the numbers the govt wants us to think there is. I mean by their reasoning, the city of Detroit should be in flames continously. Dearborn Mich has the largest Arab popultation outside the middle east. Hell, 3/4 of the terrorists should be in Michigan alone. How many stories have you heard coming out of Detroit? The only thing I remember is the two or three they arrested shortly after 911 and the case against them ended up being dismissed. It just doesn't add up to me. Look at what happened in New Orleans, I don't believe for a minute our govt has gotten so good at preventing attacks, that that is the reason why no more have occured on American soil.

Hell, everyone should've met this announcement with skepticism, and I worry about those who wouldn't have. But the ones I think are being silly are the kneejerkers that just default to their 'it's fake' position without any additional thought or investigation into the matter. That is blind ignorance. Skepticism is healthy and is how we keep ourselves ahead of the game. Blind ignorance is just, well, ignorant.

And for the record, I've seen posters directly infer that they don't believe in terrorists.

I believe the opposite of whatever it is they are saying. Blind ignorance? Hardly.

By this standard I surmise that all arrested are completely innocent of any wrong doing. I could be wrong but lets see for ourselves shall we?
