Once again, Strong on Security Administration is a day late
Before 9/11, this administration claimed it could not have possibly foreseen that they would fly planes into buildings.

So they banned fingernail clippers and started strip searching grandmothers on their way from Little Rock to Texarkana. Now British Intelligence "uncovers" this dastardly plot to use explosive hair-gel tampons to blow the crapper right out the back door of an airplane, and suddenly grandmothers on their way from Little Rock to Texarkana can't carry bottled water.

I'm so glad these idiots know what they're doing. Why imagine if someone had used bottled water sometime in the past four years when their think-tanks charged with assessing transportation threats had first remembered that you could blow up a crapper with hairpin, a hershey's wrapper, a digital watch battery, two french fries and a large piece of toe-jam that made it past the obligatory shoe inspection.

We don't need another "get it right the second time" administration. If it was a real threat before now, then they've done nothing to protect us before now. Were they waiting for another briefing memo titled, 12 British Citizens of Pakistani Origin Determined To Attack By Stealing Hair Gel And Bubble Gum From Ordinary Citizens, Making Astrolite W in the Crapper and Blowing The Crapper Out of the Back of The Airplane? Why are they just reacting now? Is our national security really just that profoundly incompetent? Why does this keep happening on the republican watch? I think we should agree to be scared, not of tooth-whitening gel incendiaries, but of the amazing incompetence of the people who are charged with ANTICIPATING these things rather than waiting for a nice memo on crisp stationary from MI5.

We were COMPLETELY UNPREPARED TO DEAL WITH THIS at the airports yesterday. What does that tell you about the people in charge of national security in the U.S.???

1. in other news
The nation's transportation system has ground to a halt, leaving First and Business Class travelers to mail their laptops and hair-gel ahead and seek alternative transportation methods.

2. this is like peeing in a dark suit
I'm warm and comfortable for now, and I'm the only one who knows I did it.

Self kicking is so . . . masturbatory.

3. Quite the visual I am getting here.
:-)

To the topic: Yes, this is indeed the day after administration. We are no safer than we were on 9.11 and this is further proof that this administration is using fear to bolster it's approval ratings. What also was telling is how they make this huge announcement that they nabbed 24 suspects and stopped the tragedy, and have known for months about this, yet they had NO plan in place at any of the airports. Time to get them out of office and get someone in there who is effective.
