Porn star Mary Carey, another "quality" candidate from "the right," is kicking off her gubernatorial campaign in California.



A current Reuters article states that porn star Mary Carey is once again setting out to take the California governorship from Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the article, Ms. Carey states:

'"I think I'm more serious now," Carey said as she arrived at a Los Angeles County elections office to launch her 2006 gubernatorial campaign."


Though planning to run as an independent, the current "About Me" section of Ms. Carey's web site < marycarey.com > (WARNING: Adult Content), notes:

"In June 2005, Carey announced her bid for Lieutenant Governor of California as an Independent in 2006. She also attended a GOP fund-raiser with the president of the company that produces her porn videos and announced that she is a Republican." (my emphasis)

She knows she can't do much within the Democratic Party, so she works to embarass the Republicans by showing them as the money grubbing losers they are.

Don't beleive me? She donated a ton of $$$ to Bush so she could have dinner with him, and make National News doing so. "What will the Children Think?"

7. Rapper Eazy-E did the same thing
Donated a couple grand to the GOP in the early 90s and claimed that "$2,000 bought me a million dollars worth of publicicty".

I thought it was hilarious.

3. Wait: Why is she kicking off her campaign AFTER the primary?
Is she running as in independent just like Joementum (and Joe, my friend, you have more in common with a porn star than you'd probably like to think)?

Mind you, I'm happy for anything that might syphon even a few votes away from the Gropinator. But I'm not sure this is a candidacy that has the credibility of, say, a Gary Coleman.

14. Actually, the picture is from the bio page of
Mary's web site (the domain is listed in the OP). I didn't figure she would mind, especially since I mentioned though did not directly link to her site. If I were as good looking a man as she is a woman, I'd want my picture on billboards along with my phone number for passing female motorists.
