perhaps Ned Lamont should just ignore Lieberman in the General Election
I'm just throwing this out, but maybe what Lamont should do is not even acknowledge Lieberman. That would just be giving him legitimacy as a candidate. Why feed the trolls? Don't debate him, don't slam him in ads (or even mention him). Only talk about Bush, and Lamont's Republican opponent, Alan Schlesinger. This is going to be a traditional race between a Democrat and a Republican, and Lieberman is just an interloper.

Ned can't do that. Lieberman leads now 46-41 in post-primary poll

7. That's a Rasmussen Poll
The Rule of Rassmussen says you subtract 5 points from the Republican in all polls. Throw in the margin of error and Lamont is likely leading by a couple.

Lieberman is a loser. Treat him as one. Lieberman lost.

Run the fight against Rove and the GOP. That is where the action is.

Did you go to the Mary Beth Cahill School of Campaign Management and Small Engine Repair?

6. Well, that strategy didn't work for John Kerry.
It hasn't worked for any Democrat candidate who's tried it the past couple of decades. The only wildly successful Dem candidate in that period had a fast response team whose purpose was to be lightning quick in response to attacks. Of course, that was Big Dawg and Carvell's response team.

If Lamont wants to win, he has to do something like James Carvell did in 1992 and 1996.

That's the way to victory.

9. He needs to crush his spirit now.
The Dems need to work together to do it. He deserves whatever punishment they can unleash on him to make him pay for his betrayal. Joe Lieberman is a traitor. That's how CT voters will have to see him by November.

10. It's NEVER good to ignore any opposition!
Remember Kerry and the SBVFT? I heard ned respond almosst instantly to a Leiberman attack, and I was very happy to see that! THAT'S what he HAS to do! Respond in a clear short and difinitive statement!
