Shop The Union Label!
I know, I'm preaching to the choir here, but...
If you must go out and spend your hard-earned dollars, it usually doesn't cost any more to spend it wisely. And that is on well built union made goods. Please take the time to check this site before shopping:
<http://www.shopunionmade.org/>
Oral-B toothbrushes, Cingular wireless and Sharp microwave ovens are only a few examples. Imagine if everyone here suddenly started buying union. It could send a good message to all concerned. After all, we are all in this together. :hug: Thanks,
dumpbush

1. A really great site!
Glad to see Russell Stover on the list, because they make a line of sugar free low carb candy I can handle. Always try to buy union made products, but when it comes to clothes, it's hard to even find American made anymore. Glad to have the list of union made clothing/shoe manufacturers.

2. And a really great point!
It IS hard to find American-made anymore. Which is why we all need to make the effort to look. If we can even begin to show companies that we as consumers care about where our products are made, maybe a light bulb will go off over their heads and they'll wise up. (I know, a longshot, but it's worth a shot). Something needs to be be done. Yes, getting the present administation out of power will help, but shopping union-made is something we all can do now, today. Again, it generally doesn't cost any more to buy union, it keeps people employed at a living wage here in the USA, and it just feels good knowing you've done something constructive to help us all. Thanks again,
dumpbush

4. if you cross-check with buyblue.com you will find that
Russell-Stover contributes 100% to republicans....maybe they are union, but the owners are right-wing.

6. True, but
Most corporations (not all) are repug-dominated at the top. Thankfully most union employees (not all) are Democrats, who give and vote to Democrats. Maybe the top dogs have more money, but there is strength in numbers, so the more union employees we can keep employed, perhaps the better the chance it will outweigh what the people at the top are influencing. Maybe....

5. The Chrysler vehicle, union made. My last Chrysler had a sticker
on the door that said "Assembled in Mexico." That was the last Chrysler that I bought. It was a POS, and it was not cheap.
