A Joe SoreLoserman blast from the past
It is a bizarre truth, but one that American voters need to know, that National Review founder and "Catholic" fascist William F. Buckley made the Senate career of Democratic Presidential threat Joseph Lieberman. The leading intellectual spokesman for McCarthyism as long ago as the 1950s, Buckley was responsible for putting then-Connecticut Attorney General Joe Lieberman in the U.S. Senate, in the 1988 election against liberal Republican incumbent Sen. Lowell Weicker. Thanks to Buckley's organizing conservative Republicans to vote for Lieberman, today's war-party Senator from Connecticut squeezed in by 10,000 votes. Lieberman is pushing the White House hard for an immediate attack on Iraq and a spreading Mideast war—the most dangerous possible way of trying to "escape" the worsening financial crisis. His longtime alliance with William F. Buckley's fascist networks, shows the real character of this "New Democrat" contender.

1. Using LaRouche propaganda as a source is
maybe going to get you off on the wrong foot around here. Just a bit of friendly advice.

Welcome to DU. Tick... tick... tick...

2. larouche
I thought the commentary on Holier than thou Joe still spot-on, regardless of anyone's thoughts on the commentator. <shrugs>

3. Yeah, well, when the commentator is best known
for claiming in all seriousness that Walter Mondale was a KGB agent, for claiming, again, in TOTAL seriousness, that QEII is a coke dealer who ordered the Oklahoma City bombing, for running for President while in prison, and for the thuggish and cultlike tactics of his devotees, you might start to consider that the enemy of your enemy isn't necessarily your friend. If you've found, and quoted here, the lone factual paragraph ever generated by that organization, congratulations. But his documented history as an unhinged authoritarian and proven perpetrator of fraud makes his publications worthless as sources.

4. broken clocks twice a day
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" applies only to two dimensional thinking (read "foolish"). In the real world, it's best not to crawl into bed with vipers just cause they badmouth people you don't like.

google for: buckley lieberman "10,000 votes"

But seriously, don't get mixed up with LaRouche. I almost did, and looking back on it I'm glad I didn't. Creepy.

6. Oh, it's true
And it wasn't just Buckley. The state Republican apparatus, including virtually all local congressmen, worked to toss Llowell out and shoehorn Joe in.
