Mexico still Presidentless - election board will release results today
Mexico still Presidentless

Mexico, Aug 14 (Prensa Latina) The Por El Bien De Todos coalition leader Andrés Manuel López Obrador said results from the partially recounted votes will define the direction of civil resistance in Mexican public life. The elections board (TEPJF ) releases its report today and the alliance head said it s important to not "accept lies as a form of government," and that it was important to start a needed action plan for the country. The TEPJF began counting ballots again last Wednesday in 11,839 voting booths in 149 of the country s 300 voting wards, supervised by 192 federal judges with political parties represented.

López Obrador said he ll organize another huge protest if the conservative candidate is propped up as winner again, and called for gatherings on September 1 for outgoing president Vicente Fox s summary speech, the 15th for National Independence day and the 16th for the national Democratic convention. The TEPJF must resolve the election issue before August 31 and declare a victor by September 6.

1. I'm beginning to get the feeling that this is over
Just a feeling, or maybe it's really my innate pessimism expressing itself.

Whatever it is, I have the feeling that the elections board will declare the conservative the winner and the protests will decline over time and then fade away, and that will be the end of it for this election cycle.

3. He needs international support
I think even general good wishes would help at this point.
