Virginia Senator Uses Racist Slur To Describe Dark-Skinned Man

A video is online of Senator George Allen of Virginia insulting a dark-skinned man, and saying "welcome to America," at an otherwise all-white Republican gathering. He calls the man "Macaca" and then says, "Well friends, we're in a war on terror." See for yourself.

Jeffrey Feldman of Frameshop did some research and found that the term is used on far-right racist sites, and provides examples. Frameshop: 'Macaca' or 'Macaque'. Go read it, but I warn you, it's pretty sick stuff.

So seeing how it is used on the right-wing, racist websites Feldman found, there is no question what Sen. Allen was saying. Also, it seems that Senator Allen has had a problem with this in his background. From GEORGE ALLEN'S RACE PROBLEM,

Campaigning for governor in 1993, he admitted to prominently displaying a Confederate flag in his living room. He said it was part of a flag collection--and had been removed at the start of his gubernatorial bid. When it was learned that he kept a noose hanging on a ficus tree in his law office, he said it was part of a Western memorabilia collection. ...

1. Didn't he name his kids after KKK grand dragons (or whatever they
are called)? Maybe the story is BS, but he sure seems to enjoy being a racist dimwit.

10. He named them after Confederate generals, one of whom...
founded the KKK: Nathan Bedford Forrest. Allen named his son Forrest, after him. WAKE UP, VIRGINIA!

5. I just don't understand this. I have no problem with his love of the
Confederate flag but God almighty a Senator using a derogatory European term for another human being. He's so ignorant he doesn't even know the guy is from India. I guess we'll never get passed this skin color thing even in the 21st century.

11. His mother is French extraction born in Tunisia
One of the blogs said that. I have no other confirmation. I had a thread yesterday in which I said that I think Allen did this on purpose. He thinks he will gain votes, whether he apologizes or not. Nothing I had read today causes me to change my mind. Felix had a reputation when he was in high school in Southern California as being a racist. Should that damn he as an adult? Pukes would damn a Democrat if the situation were reversed. "Do onto others as.......'

14. Here is your proof
http://longwood.edu/news/releases/commencement2005.html

While introducing Allen, who received his bachelor's degree and law degree from the University of Virginia, Dr. Cormier noted an interesting personal connection. "A little known fact about Senator Allen is that his undergraduate education was enhanced substantially by his excellent performance in French class, taught by none other than Dr. Raymond Cormier, visiting professor of French at Longwood, and my husband! I have up here on the podium the gradebook, and he got a very good grade. No wonder the senator can applaud his superior education."

as GW types run this country.

IMO,That is the MAIN reason why they keep "winning" because they must make sure that people of color/other religions/homosexuals/poor continue to be crushed to death.

12. Is "Macaca" also "a charming word" or didn't you see the video?
This is the candidate who is siphoning off Democratic votes in the Texas governor's race: http://youtube.com/watch?v=C9mXTxEQI3A
