Why we need to view and share the movie, "Unprecedented"
A lot of DUers have seen the movie, Unprecedented: The 2000 Presidential Election but, for those who haven't, here's a reason to watch it and a reason to share it with as many people as possible:

First, the film is like the best refresher course imaginable. But, more important, to be presented with all of the information about how the 2000 election was stolen, in one sitting, is a galvanizing experience. It will re-affirm your outrage and renew your determination to fight the now nearly six-year long illegal occupation of the White House.

Second, in two words: buyer's remorse. The tide is turning against Bush. More and more people are seeing the light. How many of us have stories about how people, who we thought would never stop supporting Bush, have amazed us by changing their minds about him? In my case, a card-carrying Reagan Republican told me he now believes that not only is Bush II the worst president in this country's history but that he no longer supports the Republican party, either. You could have knocked me over with a feather.

The point is that these are the people who mentally blocked out all of the proof that the 2000 presidential election was stolen in Florida. And, because it's human nature to seek information that supports your point of view, now is the time to re-introduce them to the facts.

Before I return my Netflix copy of the film, I'm going to ask the acquaintance who told me about his new view of Bush to watch it. I'm also going to send out a note to every Democrat and Liberal in my email address book, asking them to watch the film, if they haven't already. And, as for boots-on-the-ground activism, I'm going to make local contacts, as soon as I post this thread.

If you haven't seen the film, please rent it, buy it, or borrow it, and share it with as many people as you can.

2. A friend burned me a CD copy after he got it as a Pacific premium
I'm going to re-watch it this weekend. All Greenwald's films are great -- "Unconstitutional," "Outfoxed," "Uncovered" and of course the WalMart movie.

3. Greenwald was not the producer
Joan Sekler and Richard Ray Perez slept on our couch while they were filming in Florida and deserve credit for their efforts.

And I pay to keep the website up

4. Wow -- my apologies for that
I thought Greenwald directed it (is that right?) but the producers certainly DO deserve a lot of credit (but unfortunately they've been overshadowed in the publicity).

8. No, Greenwald came in later
Joan Sekler put up her retirement money (I promised her she'd get it all back and she did). Richard maxed out his mother's credit cards.

Greenwald allowed them to use his studio to edit the video, but promotion was my responsiblity. Once we showed 'em how it was done, they came out with the whole series - and more power to 'em.

I just hate it (and so does Joan) when they're forgotten.

5. Thanks for the correction. Sekler and Perez deserve the credit.
In any case, though, the previous poster's decision to re-watch the film is a good thing. :)

By the way, Fredda, I tried to subscribe to the web site's email list but the link seems to be broken.

10. Yup. Lots of people have moved on
I don't even collect email from my unprecedented.org email account anymore. But I keep the site up as a reminder - the monthly fee doesn't bother me.

9. Nope and I don't care to disclose the reason
But I'll never forgive him for not giving me credit for the illustration in Harper's magazine.
