It just goes to show how crazy they are to be outraged at what some gossipping talk show host says.

I'm too lazy to research it.

5. Of course
They never take the time to discuss the subject at hand and legitimate solutions, they just start in with the vicious, uncalled for personal attacks.

32. No - the attack on her weight was just the swiftboating part. They don't
like her political "views" and the fact that she speaks about them during the daylight.

37. Which is kinda ironic, ain't it?
Especially when, if I recall correctly from the pics taken at the Cindy Sheehan camp, the Freeps who showed up were all in the heavyweight division themselves?

4. uh uh - ain't going to go there. But this Star Jones - she is real?
I've only seen her parodied on SNL. I thought she was like some disjointed comedic confabulation of all that was wrong with what passes for pop culture. Wow, that is depressing. Even more depressing is that the Freeps would bother to discuss her.

...ithe "War On Terra" IS a battle of egos between two supreme assholes, both of whom have blood on their hands, and Bush IS an idiot who slept through the 9/11 alert.

Well, TECHNICALLY he didn't sleep.

12. She's fat, she's black, blah blah blah...
She also has a law degree and a lucrative spot on a national TV show, which is more than most FReekers could say.

I don't know how realistic making a deal with OBL is, but it's certainly no worse than Dumbya's plan which is to simply attack countries in the general vicinity that have oil and call it a retaliation for 9-11.

36. So much of Freeper "criticism" is really...
inverted envy. Look at how mad they get when Movie stars speak out--movie stars being in general charismatic, talented, good looking, and not infrequently rich. Everything freepers are not.

Your last sentence is one of the most common sensible ideas I've heard since, oh, Sept. 11, 2001.

Binny?

Lots of outrage over stupid stuff here. Sometimes I can't see the difference between us and them. (aside from ideology}. Lots of hyperemotional attacks, and yes, lots of ignorance. I realize that's not exactly a popular point of view.

24. On the one hand....
Star Jones is a lawyer

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Jones

...but on the other hand...she worked for INSIDE EDITION *ick* and was a 'bridezilla' :scared:

Personally I think she's got a point.

(*BROAD BRUSH WARNING* and disclaimer that YES there are exceptions, BUT) Perhaps if we had more women world leaders, the male world leaders wouldn't feel they had to get into a pissing contest whenever they disagreed about something. ESPECIALLY world leaders like Bunnypants, Ronald Reagan, etc.

Star Jones is that big, fat black lady, right?

Correction: Star Jones is that big, fat, STUPID black lady. She is a living, breathing, walking, talking argument against diversity.

31. Star Jones had feelings on the 2000 election being stolen. And being
Edited on Sat Jan-21-06 12:27 AM by applegrove
a gifted communicator and with a platform during the day - that is a "no no". That show does have a balance of political views. They hate Star because she is so eloquent and has feelings about how the Florida recount & vote went. Who would not?

Today - she wanted to say something about the 2000 election but stopped herself. The other lady (comedienne) had to say - "no Star - go ahead and say what you feel". So she vaguely made reference to 2000 election.

That is why they hate her. Because she has a point of viewed shared by many African Americans.

And now she is afraid. Because the freepers attack her and her weight and everything about her because she expressed views she feels, on the TV, in a show format that wants opinions, thus the show is called "the View". In a sense - the freepers are just stirring the pot and threatening to "swiftboat" her. Because - don't ya know - nobody on the TV is supposed to have a point of view or speak to a truth. Especially not during the daytime. Especially not a celebrity who has credibility with a certain group Karl Rove covets.

IMHO
