A teeny tiny good news story from Katrina
The week after Katrina, a coworker of my wife found a goldfish in their swimming pool. The pool was drained but there was rain water in the bottom of the pool. No one knows the origins of the gold fish but it survived. My wife bought a goldfish bowl and set the fish up at her work. Almost a year later the fish has survived and is doing quite well. Not an earth shattering story but the source of a little smile after a disaster.

4. My friend's baby was born by c-section during Katrina.
She was one of the Mom's who was airlifted from Memorial hospital. She said there was a time when she thought they might be separated, but the hospital staff were able to keep them together. Their house was right on one of the levy's that broke. They stuck around to be close to their doc. She told them to move to higher ground close to the hospital so she could get there during the storm if need be.

5. Bosshog, even the tiniest bits of good news are welcome.
In the horror that was Katrina, and the even worse horror that was -- and is -- the neglect of the government, it's nice to hear something good.

Hope you and yours are doing well.
