A conversation with the S.S. department today..
In 2005 I was married. After filing my taxes, the s.s. issued my statement on how much I had paid into the enterprise. It was 1/2 of what it should have been. I figured there was a problem with me switching my legal name. But then the man (who I am so glad was not just a talking head, but a true American with real thought--he might even be a DUer) asked me if I had worked more than 1 job in that year. I said yes.. He told me that when the IRS submits all the s.s. info that there is technical glitch in their system and it only chooses one of the W2's...

So, if I hadn't noticed and questioned this, the IRS would have kept my s.s. money and it would be lost in the system... Now, I have to take a whole day and take all my filings for the last few years down to the s.s. administration to have this glitch fixed (not that I expect s.s. to actually be there when I am of the age to retire). As I was told by s.s. man, it may last 10yrs, but that's all.

4. I have a meeting with a Secret Service Agent tonight.
...well, it's just dinner with my cousin, but he does work for them.

2. I'm pretty sure that SS employees are under orders to push that line.
That it may be there for 10 years or so.

According to the GAO, they're solvent beyond your life expectancy.

5. I don't think so. This guy had nothing to gain from bashing
Bush and politicians and saying he was glad he was at the end of his life here and not beginning.
