Again Veterans are Shortchanged By VA

RANT AND ANGER

When push come to shove inside the Veterans Administration,you can always count one thing these days-our local vets at Sepuluveda VA will be the ones getting pushed and shoved the Hardest.

The latest bad news hit the North Hills facility last week.From now on,the thousands of veterans receiving outpatient health care at Sepulveda-from the San Fernando Vally all the way up to Bakerfield and Santa Barbara-will have to go over the hill to West Los Angeles VA for an MRI or CAT scan.

Like a lot of VA hospitals aging equipment, cost the quality of scans was significantly impaired.

1. Now my rant

How in the Hell can veterans still back Republicans. Shortages are being reported by VA's across the Country. Huge Waiting list are being formed. 600,000 Veterans last year denied health care. Some veterans say the VA treated me great but forget their brothers and sisters are being treated like dirt. Just a small Rant am I wrong

The Liberals keep cutting VA funding. The Liberals won't let the gas companies build any new cracking plants with their environmental laws. They're using those same environmental laws to handicap American industry so all the jobs are going overseas. The Liberals won't let us protect ourselves from Ay-rabs and illegal immigrants (Meskins). The Liberals won't let prayer in the schools and they won't let us put the 10 Commandments in the courtrooms, and they won't let us give tax money to the churches, so God is mad at us.

Them Liberals is powerful, I tell ya. They got Satan on their side.

3. I`v always wondered why our armed forces would.........

put thier health and well being in the hands of repubs. But, I`ve really been wondering if all of the cut backs have been reported in Stars and Stripes? Many of these people enter the service thinking of an education, but have they heard about the plight of homlessness among veterans? Maybe many of these people would change thier vote if they knew the "rest of the story".

Even Service Connected are getting short shrift nowadays. I want to get Mr. Combat wounded (the Congressman who said you shouldn't be allowed into the VA unless you were) around so I can kick his his ass. The stupid SOB probably has no idea how many people get seriously injured every year in the PEACETIME military. Airplane crashes and such hurt people.

Of course this group in DC now is the most callous group of assholes I have ever seen. They are cowards and miserly bastards except when it comes to enriching themselves and their cronies.

6. Is there anything we can do?

It's a shame how we treat veterans in this country. A damn frackin' shame. Other than voting Dem is there anything that we can do to change this? I really wish that "support the troops," was more than just a slogan, bumper sticker, and an empty cliche spoken by the masses. Oh yeah before I forget, Bring 'em home now, George.
