Comair plane took off from wrong runway
LEXINGTON, Ky. - A commuter jet mistakenly trying to take off on a runway that was too short crashed into a field Sunday and burst into flames, killing 49 people and leaving the lone survivor — a co-pilot — in critical condition, federal investigators said,

Preliminary flight data from Comair Flight 5191's black box recorders and the damage at the scene indicate the plane, a CRJ-100 regional jet, took off from the shortest runway at Lexington's Blue Grass Airport.

1. Sources at MSNBC confirmed this
since early morning. My question is how the hell did this happen.
Expect dozens of law suits for the innocent dead.

4. For the most part these Comair pilots are low hours and very under paid
Not that is an excuse for starting to take off on the wrong runway BUT continuing to try to get into the air and not stopping may be a judgement call.....

6. I used to fly a lot and much of that on Comair
with the outsourcing of mechanical work, treating the controllers like shit and squeezing the personell I thank my lucky stars I don't fly anymore.
All this crap will reach a critical mass at some point and airplanes will start falling from the skies. But the W admin has no facilities to investigate or will they even care.
