I have noted earlier that this is the same loser attitude that we have seen around here before. There are way too many people willing to LOSE rather than compromise or say in a weird inversion: "not a loaf at all is better than half a loaf."

If AAR wants to position itself as The Convenient Truth" and only address things which won't ruffle feathers they no longer speak for me --and I won't listen to them.

12. I volunteered at a radio station where one of the hosts was fired, and
both employees and volunteers were told not to discuss personnel matters with listeners. I was instructed that if a listener called and asked what had happened to that announcer, I was simply to say that he was no longer with the station. If they asked why, I was supposed to refer them to the station manager. (I happen to know that that announcer was NOT fired for his opinions, and that's all I'll say.)

So I'm cutting Peter Werbe some slack on this one. He and everyone else at AAR is probably under orders not to discuss personnel matters.

14. This could be some sort of legal issue as well
I've worked in the radio business, and know that there's certain subjects that can't be discussed to the public. Just like most jobs.

Why should he burn his bridges? I'm sure Mike understands all of this.

I say cut Pete some slack. He didn't fire him.

19. AAR has contempt for its listeners
And there aren't that many of us! You would think they would want to at least keep what they've got, but evidently not. The whole group of them still with AAR should just let their callers say what they want even if they don't comment. What's AAR going to do- fire them all?

I don't like this censorship of callers.

But he's dull. Not what I want to hear at this hour of the night. I'll miss AAR, it's dead to me at this point. They are Alan Colmes type losers. Franken lets his freeper pal walk all over him and lets other rightwingers on all the time. Springer is a phoney. Randi is ok. Seder is good but I think he's next. They just aren't enough to keep me listening after this kick in the butt.
Chalk it up as an experiment that failed.

I'm SUPER PISSED about Malloy benig fired, but please, use your god damned brains. I've been here raging all day abuot AAR for firnig Mike, but this is not the way to do it. Leave Werbe out of it.

Do you realize the place AAR put Werbe in, doing this to him?

He is supposed to fill in for his friend, Mike, for a week while Mike fills in for Randy. Then on the 2nd day of teh week they fire Mike and leave Werbe there in the spotlight.

Don't freak out on Werbe. Freak out on the AAR suits that put him in the middle of this fucked up situation
