Your Liberal Media: The President is leading us into a war against Iran...
... but instead, they're showing wall-to-wall coverage of a polygamist sect leader's arraignment.

Unbelievable.

1. The current MSM would be
a hilarious parody, if the consequences weren't so damned serious! It's no surprise to me how woefully uninformed too many Americans are; you'd think the only problems in the country were missing white girls, murdered rich white girls, the sex lives of Democratics and the perceived peccadilloes of those outside the mainstream, such as polygamists.

2. Now, CNN's pondering what will happen to Jeff's church.
This is important shit, y'all. Earthshattering events of monumental proportions.

I could have sworn Bush just gave a speech in which he was setting the nation up for an attack against Iran... but HEY, look over here!!! Polygamist!! Polygamist!!

:argh:

4. Anything to distract the public from the facts!
The Republican party must be defended at all costs, even if the cost is the country.

5. I'd be more worried if it were wall-to-wall Ahmadinejad, Iranian missiles,

and aerial photos of potential targets.

There isn't even the beginnings of a mobilization of public support for an actual war with Iran. Just empty bluster from the White House.

I'll take the Polygamist Threat any day.

6. This will go on each & every day until the election, to pound the Iraq
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 12:27 PM by LaPera
lie into voters heads with Bush saying his same old bullshit, that the republicans are tougher on terrorism than the Dem's, while Bush continues to push fear and more fear to scare up votes for the republicans...BushCo knows if you say it enough times people WILL believe it as truth....Because the republicans have absolutely nothing else to run on...So they must push the fear card...and they WILL, day after day until the election....

Keeping the focus on Iraq, Iran, terrorism & fear...The republicans are controlling the dialogue...exactly what Rove wants and knows will help the republicans,(because the corporate republicans have done nothing for the American workers & people while in control as the majority party).

So pound away daily and control the dialogue, same old Rove tactics.

9. Maybe this time the Dems will fight back.
And I mean, in a big way. A really, big, make-no-mistake way.

Because the American people are ready to receive the message now, and it's damned time to deliver it.

11. It will take The People to LEAD "The Democratic Representatives"
Although The Democratic Party is basically "good" in caring for The People of America, it will take us (you and me = average American) DEMANDING from our representatives that they FINALLY TAKE A STAND. Continue to call and write them at every opportunity. I will. :hi:

12. We're 60+ days out... they're running out of time, you know.
They've got to fight back NOW. They've got to frame the debate NOW.

We can't afford to waste one more day. Election Season is upon us. NOW.

And "I will," too!! :hi:

14. I hope I'm wrong, but IMO it's going to have to REALLY HURT
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 12:16 PM by ShortnFiery
the Average American before we TRULY make demands of our Representatives.

Unfortunately there are Representatives with "a D" after their names who have invested big bucks in the Corporations that make up the Military Industrial Complex. Also Corporate donations matter too much to far too many of our Democratic Representatives.

Our Democratic Representatives need to remember that it's their Constituents, not the mega-corporations that they MUST support first, lest they NOT be re-elected. :(

If they fail us, we can choose new-comers in the next primary. Why? Because they work for US!

7. If we don't stop ourselves the world will stop us from a WW3
Just like they paralyzed the Iraq mission by their combined nonparticipation any kind of siege or strike against Iran will have similar consequences, probably worse this time.

10. This is What the Average American Wants to See
Why the heck are we in the mess we're in. Not because of people like you and me. We can't stomach what is going on but we are the minority when it comes to the reality of what is. Many people complain, but how many actually put their money or their mouths where we do?

As critical as I feel about MSM, it what the sheeple want and MSM is out to make bucks, not to change the world. Until changing the world makes money we are foolish to expect anything from MSM. Hopefully, shows like Keith's will expand and that will be our salvation.

And don't forget....it is a liberal media.:puke:

13. Look who is Advertising on the M$M?
Lockheed Martin, etc. ... we work for YOU! :puke:

I submit that "the average American" is sick of this pablum (missing kids/polygamists) but that the Corporate owners of the FEW media outlets left know that the only way that they can continue to consolidate is by supporting Dear Leader in ALL future Oil Wars.

After all there are Great Profits to be gleaned by the Military Industrial Complex through perpetual wars. The KEY is that these CEOs want More Consolidation ... the type only kool-aid drinking Right Wing Republicans can supply. :grr:

15. I Wish I Saw What You Did
The last time I subjected myself to a wholly "social" event the gist of the conversation the entire evening was "American Idol." Needless to say, I have never seen the american idol and never want to and contributed nothing to the conversation. It was a night of good food and boring company. Shouldn't have to do that for another six months!

This was a group consisting of attorneys, businessmen and women, bright, college educated folks (many were dems), but they are the typical, imho, of America today. We are in a sad state.
