I gotta hand it to Arnold...
He is doing all the right things to get reelected. I can find very little to criticize him about regarding these recent environmental moves...

Being a committed Democrat I would not vote for him, but he is making it very difficult to dislike him!

He must be driving the RW'ers batshit with this stuff!

9. You got that right.
This whole "I'm a moderate" act is total bullshit.

He hasn't done shit in office until this year.

15. I don't see him doing that
I've thought about that but he's pissed off the right wing so much, he has no support on the hard right, especially with the global warming bill he's getting ready to sign

4. Lets put national pressure on him re: SB 480 Healthcare
If he doesn't sign it, kick his ass out. This is really a national battle, right up there with retaking the House and Senate.

5. Ahnold is a flip-flopping pandering whore
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 12:29 PM by keepCAblue
Yes, while he's pandering to the left right now with his passage of environmentally friendly bills, he is still actively pandering to the right and the religious nutcakes with his anti-gay actions:

August 18, 2006: ANTI-GAY LOBBYIST HIRED TO PROMOTE GOVERNOR SCHWARZENEGGER

September 7, 2005: GOVERNOR VETOES LBGT FAIR POLITICAL CAMPAIGN BILL

September 7, 2005: GOVERNOR SCHWARZENEGGER VETOES EQUAL MARRIAGE RIGHTS LEGISLATION

And don't forget Ahnold's "SPECIAL ELECTION" in which ALL OF HIS PET PROPOSITIONS were defeated, all at the tremendous expense to CA taxpayers, to the tune of MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. Ahnold's disastrous and fiscally irresponsible special election was an overt attempt to appeal to the conservatives and religious nutcakes, by putting on the ballot initiatives for political redistricting (to favor Republican candidates), abortion restrictions (appeasing the fundies) and increasing teacher tenure (anti-labor)

Please don't let Ahnold's current "pro-environment" actions blind you to his MANY flaws, faults, and political motives. Ahnold has proven himself to be as corrupt and self-serving as Bushco and their republican minions, and is indisputably in the pockets of BIG BUSINESS and SPECIAL INTERESTS. He is no friend to the environment, to ethnic or sexual minorities or to labor. NEVER FORGET THAT.

8. He may be a flip-flopping whore...
But the Dems didn't do themselves any favors by nominating Angelides. This guy is as charismatic as a brick.

With California being such a blue state, why can't the Dems find a better candidate? This is a race we should not be losing.

Here in Indiana, we're so sickeningly red that the state-wide Democratic party just puts up nobodies for state-wide office and lets them get creamed. Occasionally, we do get a win, but not often.

11. The dems shot themselves in the foot.
The primary was ugly and both candidate did Arnie's work for him.

I'll vote for Phil, but I'm not hold my breath that he'll win.
