Note that the NY Times and NY Post are also calling for Clinton to debate Tasini.

1. Ain't gonna happen.
If that last poll had shown a bigger push than just 2 points after the intial brouhaha about NY1, the debate may have stood a chance but not at 80-15.

I think today(or maybe yesterday) was the last day for the League of Women voters to decide whether they will hold a debate.

I think Hillary should debate but I understand politically why she won't.

2. NY1 already said he has enough poll numbers to get on the debate
Just not enough money. His poll numbers would skyrocket if he debated Clinton, he'd have popularity.

This is about organized, idealistic people fighting resistant privilege and power. I wonder why so many DUers are on the side of the privileged on this one issue. Especially a corporate-appeasing lame duck like Hilary who never accomplishes anything.

3. Can we have one discussion without insulting the Senator?
Its not about poll threshold at NY1 for Tasini. If he had shown a 10 point rise in the polls because of the MSM coverage of the debate fiasco, Clinton may have been shamed into debating. But with the polls showing a very modest rise and with her lead, she can simply ignore him.

"His poll numbers would skyrocket if he debated Clinton, he'd have popularity"

This is an assumption with no valid evidence to support it.

Again, I think Hillary should debate him but I understand poltiically why she won't. Its not facing questions about the war persay, its why bother giving your opponent any traction when the only place yoiur numbers have to go is down.

4. Can we have discussions without insulting Bush?
"This is an assumption with no valid evidence to support it. "

He's antiwar and she's not. NY is antiwar and she's not. That seems pretty valid.

6. If you were right (which you're not), why would Clinton debate Tasini?
Why would you let your opponent's poll numbers "skyrocket"?

And no, nothing is going to make the numbers change. Clinton is big time, Tasini is not. End of story.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Obviously, you're not a New Yorker. Every one of them I've talked to, Democrat or Republican, thinks she's one of the most responsive Senators they've ever had to their needs and that she's done a remarkable job keeping ALL of New York in the loop.
