I want no part of your "ideological struggle" Mr. Bush
Edited on Thu Aug-31-06 04:26 PM by sparosnare
There really are no words to describe how sickened I felt after hearing Bush's speech this morning. Full of rhetoric designed to whip up the republican base into a frenzy, I actually felt afraid. I wasn't afraid of the terrorists he insisted we must defeat, but of HIM and his cohorts. Truly afraid as I listened to him lump the Iraq War, Iran, Bin Laden, Hezbollah and anyone else he could think of into some religious crusade we must see through even if we perish in the process. Truly afraid as I listened to him throw around the word fascist, which can only be used to describe those who support Bush's aggression and imperialism.

I want no part of this government's maniacal visions of liberty and democracy - how dare they bastardize those words! I want no part of their warped "you're either with us or against us" diplomacy. I want them OUT. I want my country back!

:grr:

1. I concur
I heard that and thought much the same. A war of ideologies should be a war of words, not weapons. We have an administration that thinks words are for sissys and obviously don't think past tomorrow to invision next week.

2. I second that. NOT IN MY NAME. If these fools and imperialists start
another war with Iran or Syria, that's it! I'm out of here. I will move my retirement to Ireland up by 4 years.

5. If we allow it to happen, it won't be worth staying here.
This country as we've known it, as I remember it just a mere 10 years ago, will cease to exist.

4. OK, now I'm really scared.
You are so right - what's the line? "we must make them remember why they need us", or something like that. The similarities are creepy.
