What does "Win in Iraq" mean?
I keep reading little newsbits with headlines like "Bush Says We Must Win in Iraq".

Has he ever attempted to put forward a definition of what "winning" is?

It's a weird way of framing things to say that we have to win when it seems unclear to anyone as to what constitutes such a win.

Depending on what day it is Mr. O'Loofah tells his audience on TV he supports the Dumbya junta because quote- "he wants to win this thing".

How stupid are these people??

6. It's one of those talking points that isn't meant to have a meaning
It only has a list of things it's not

Winning is not

Withdrawing
Protesting the war
dissent
protesting the President
speaking out against illegal wiretapping, torture, illegal detentions, extraordinary rendition
etc..

It's a tactic used in verbal warfare that could be called the open ended propaganda appeal...like the open ended sentence, it leaves room for your own interpretation of the answer...people will supply their own answer, in other words

That way you can't be held accountable when whatever definition people apply to win doesn't happen(since you never defined it in the first place)...but you can use what it doesn't mean to attack your opponent.

8. When Iraq stands up, we'll stand down,
And settle in with around 50,000 troops into our permanent bases. Think long term...very long term. But will it "smell" like victory?

14. Victory over Iraq means that
the US/UK will be able to extract oil from Iraq at the price that is dictated by the Oil Corps. It also means that Multi-Natl Corps can set up in Iraq and not be bombed. Victory means that Iraq will be another country that will provide the US/UK a safe haven for Capitalism. Until the Isurgency is crushed or bought off the so called War On Terror will continue.

12. Nothing. We already won in Iraq. We illegally invaded a
country and successfully removed their leader, disbanded their army and made sure there were no WMDs left. Mission accomplished. Why we are hanging around for a civil war is beyond me, or is the truth coming out that we really invaded Iraq to keep the oil off the market so Bush's Saudi friends and his Halliburton friends and everyone else behind this could raise price of fuel? Enquiring minds want to know.

16. It's working pretty well so far.
Of course Iran is the next piece in the puzzle. All we'll have to do is pound them into submission and the grateful masses will overthrow the those Islamo-Fascists. We'll help them elect a friendly government. They'll produce within their limits and all will be happy in Houston.

My question is, will we nuke em before or after November?

17. It means . . .
. . . that we're not going leave until they ask us to stay in permanent bases.
