Get your lazy-ass friends to VOTE! (Here’s how!)
I’m tired of hearing “I’m not registered” (WHAT?) or “I can never find my polling place” or whatever lame-ass excuse people come up with so I went to the website for my Registrar of Voters and printed up instructions and forms to register along with an application to vote by mail (“absentee”). I addressed a stack of envelopes to the Registrar and then stuffed them with the applications. Now when I hear a stupid reason of “inconvenience” for not voting, I hand over a fully-prepared envelope and tell them “No more excuses! If you want change, then make it happen…and you don’t even need to leave the house except to find a mailbox!”

So far my efforts have been gratefully received.

1. I agree in general. In particular, there are those who need help and
it's the obligation of those who have the power and means in those communities to help. Churches would be one of the best organizing places. Have a registration month. Make it happen. If not church, then community meetings where runners are sent out to get people to come. That way we're sure that the will of the people is represented. I'm' about half way to those voting systems where it's a civil penalty, a fine, levied for not voting. Then you'd see people behaving at maximum efficiency. Who doesn't eventually pay their traffic tickets (parking, well that's another matter, but only in big cities;).

Get out the vote, citizens get out and get registered...lets have a festival of democracy...make it happen.

2. Shoulda' put "Steve Irwin" in the title if I wanted any attention
I mean, who cares about a silly thing like voting, anyway?
