Do you really want to FU%# with ABC? BOYCOTT GREY'S ANATOMY

Seriously, this is their cash cow. If the overnight's on the Grey's Anatomy season premiere are less than expected then they will shit a brick. Don't just threaten a boycott, spell it out. So much of what ABC has planned for the fall season is pending a strong showing of Grey's Anatomy, that is why they moved it to Thursday nights. If the numbers for the first 2-3 weeks of Grey's Anatomy are down ABC is in trouble. Turn up the heat. I'm serious!

F'ed up ratings of "Grey's Anatomy" would be doomsday.

I watch some shows, and I have my limits. That was one.

But lately I got hooked on Supernova. I'm 12.

. . .but it should be very targeted. If the 9/11 drama does not do well NO BIG DEAL, if their top two series take a hit then they are absolutely SCREWED.

until Oct 4. I told them I would return my season two DVD set if they aired the 9/11 program as written.

But I will watch Boston Legal, since ABC seems to NOT want people to watch it. }(

but there's NOTHING I watch on ABC, at all.

home decorating shows and now without West Wing the only two regular shows I was interested in were Dancing with the Stars and Boston Legal (they often bash the freak in chief and it makes me very happy) both of these are ABC shows - bummer - I think I'm still going to have to watch Boston Legal

I watch mostly CBS ........SCi=Fi......TNT.....at night

I will continue NOT watching Grey's Anatomy.

I will never watch them again. EVER!

I will not punish the wonderful Shonda Rhimes and all those wonderful actors and actresses who have finally scored a hit show.

. . .that no one will punish them because they have shows everyone likes. If the threat of a boycott is real its up to ABC to protect its product, I don't want to see Shonda Rhimes suffer but consider it collateral damage.

you are right, especially after reading that they will not be providing Clinton, etc. with an advanced copy. Screw ABC.

I know, because my channel rarely moves off Law and Order reruns, House, and Psych.

It may be on USA, too, though. I wouldn't know because I don't have cable. I only get FOX, and I watch it every week.

Ack. It's on both then. I had no idea.

I never watch network TV anymore. Our Dish Network essentially stays on 105 all the time.

I'm now depressed that I've been watching a Fox affiliate almost non-stop for the past several years, and go into withdrawal when I can't have my Law and Order reruns (like this last week. Will the freaking U.S. Open ever END??).

The Fugitive, The Invaders, Cannon, The Streets of San Francisco... I can't believe that NONE of them are out on DVD. Must be some sort of weird legal tie-up.

Well, I guess it's just as well. If they were on DVD, I'd have to take out a third mortgage on my home.

I don't watch ABC very often, but I did watch Dancing with the Stars. As much as I'd like to watch Tuckie make a bigger ass of himself (is that possible?), I won't watch this year.

to do it again and I know it wasn't because I sent in a sloppy report. I did it thoroughly and exactly as they instructed me to. I think they just didn't like my choices. In the space that they allow you to write in your thoughts, I put that as a newsphile I used to watch CNN all the time and anything on CBS. However, that I now get my news on the internet because of the shoddy, commercial programming. I guess Nielson has been swallowed up by the propaganda machine like the Gallup poll. (We never seem to hear about them anymore, do we?)

I mean I really can't understand why we have the crazy news shows we have. Let's face it the morons they are trying to get as a viewership would rather watch "E" than the regular news and those of us who used to like the news are only watching C-SPAN these days. I think they are "selecting" their families.

There are a number of companies trying to wrest the mantle away from Nielsen, and one would think if there was something untoward going on, one of these companies would get the word out.

DOnt watch the channels and their affiliates. Thats the best way to hurt them. ABC owns ESPN, and I hate it, but if they show this program I will not watch anything owned by ABC including Monday Night Football on ESPN. that will suck, but it doesn't do anything to bitch about theese channels and then watch them.

In fact, I'm thinking of getting the entire list of ABC/Disney channels and start blocking them out even if that means I have to give up some of my favorites like VH1 or ESPN. I want them on block.

. . .it dilutes the effort. There are a ton of shows on ABC and every network that fail because they suck. Unfortunately a lot of people will boycott ABC but end up sneaking a peak of "Lost" or "Grey's Anatomy" thus minimizing the damage. The rationalization being that since they are doing damage by boycotting the network what's it going to hurt to watch "Grey's Anatomy?" A network wide boycott will not hurt but a targeted boycott will, also if the producers if these particular shows get wind of the boycott they will put heat on the network to do something. Trust me on this.

And same with the other shows. I can easily live without them

Gray's Anatomy is an old medical textbook (not used anymore), and the doctor that the show's supposedly about has the last name of Grey. Of course, the show is more about the support cast now. That's why we like it.

Personally, I'm boycotting ABC and Disney, so I won't be watching anyway. I'll enjoy watching their stock take a dip.

I used to be a Nielsen pollster. The only way your viewership is going to affect their ratings is to get the pollsters to stop watching. Unless you're reporting your viewership, they have no idea whether you're actually watching their show. If you're a pollster with a watch book, just pencil something else in during that time slot. If you're a pollster with the set top box, turn the thing off while you watch ABC. Either of those methods will tank ABC's ratings.

Moments like this make me wish I'd kept up with it when I moved, but I haven't done the ratings thing in years. Since you can't REQUEST to become a pollster, there's no way for me to screw with the ratings now.

Any Nielsen families out there who are willing to fudge some numbers?

Disney is obviously a right wing refuge for extremist political hacks who want to take fabricate a "new" truth. If you have ABC turned off at all times, Grey's Anatomy will take a hit as well. Better Yet, let the media know we will not put up with this crap. This is the most ambitious and shameless and dangerous threat to Democracy this country has ever faced. On Sunday and Monday, turn the TV OFF. Let ALL stations know you are enraged by this attempt at manipulation and lies (after you have told Disney/ABC, of course.) DON'T Download anything from iTunes on those days either. Nielsen and others will just manipulate the ratings, anyway.

You have to realize just how long the Corrupt, Lying, Criminal, Republican Cartel has been planning for this.

Disney has stores. Throw your Disney products in the trash. ABC has outlets and headquarters. Scholastic has stores and headquarters. Apple has stores.

Call them on Sunday and Monday to let them know you do not support what they are paying for and allowing to occur. Republican Whackos have been doing this for decades now. That's why Disney thinks they can get away with this.

I don't watch it anyway. They don't have MNF anymore so I can honestly say that I don't watch anything on ABC.

But I'll boycott the show anyway.

And seriously, I'm boycotting anything that has to do with ABC or Disney. I am so disgusted about the Path to 9/11 that I haven't even been able to comment on it much lately. It makes my blood boil.

I can say without hesitation that I will buy nothing for my kid or any of my nieces where royalty would be paid to Disney. I won't go to Disney theme parks. I won't watch Disney movies. They can go to hell with the rest of the GOP.

Remember ABC needs to know they are trading two days of possibly weak ratings for the well being of their two top rated shows. Something more direct like this will be more effective in the long run. Trust me.
