Say no to military tribunals

My letter to Congress. Feel free to use my words in contacting your Congressperson and/or Senators.

No military tribunals. We have federal courts in the US which have convicted terrorists.

I want Khalid Shaikh Mohammed tried in America and given American justice.

I don't want him tried in Cuba with a kangaroo court.

Once a president is given the authority to play judge, jury, and executioner by appointing military tribunals, it won't end with famous terrorists.

Innocent people will be executed by such a system, including US citizens.

Our current civilian court system can and should be used to try terrorists instead of new military tribunals.

2. Contact Congress against giving Bush more power.

We have a court system in the US. We don't need military tribunals in Cuba.

3. If the US conducts secret trials ending in executions,

...it will only hurt how the world perceives us and make people living freely with information about an upcoming attack less willing to report it to US authorities.
