Question for bush ...
Q: You say the terrorists will follow us home if we leave. Isn't there just as much of a danger that if the terrorists feel we won't leave - that they will pack up there and come here anyways?

3. Bush: "Sorry, I won't talk about that..."
because we wouldn't want them to know that we know that they might be thinking like that...
duh.

Still, that's a true (and should be obvious to everyone) point, and just as true, since it doesn't fit into their story, Bush would never acknowledge it.

5. Just like the VietCong came swarming over when we cut-n-ran in 1975?
And the way Vietnam is our mortal enemy to this day?

Yeah, I'd HATE to see that happen again, George!

6. as a kid we use to play capture the flag
in a huge wooded plot of land. On any given night there would be 20-30 of us out there playing.

Sometimes, the team I was on, couldn't make headway into the "enemy territory" in the usual "frontal" attack. All we did was scoot out to our rear, walk up the road, cut across somebody's lawn, back into the woods and snuck into the "enemy's back door"

didn't matter that "they" had the majority of their "troops" guarding the line...

7. A guy at Cato (yes Cato!) called BS on that idea the other day
in a long speech, he described the motives of terrorists, giving many examples to back his points. He explained that when the occupier leaves, (in a case like this where they are fighting an occupation), the terror groups dry up and blow away. Bush is 180 degrees wrong on this.

9. Terrorists have no advantage fighting an armed force
not even a chance really. To claim that they're confronting them there to avoid confronting them here is hogwash. Terrorists do not stake out or defend territory, they rely on the use of surprise among an unarmed civilian populace to achieve their ends.

An superior occupying force inflicting heavy civlian casualties in a foreign country has no effect on terrorists other than to swell their ranks.
