last night, EVERYTHING! they wanted the pres to politicize this day of mourning.
we are doing this all for them. he met the family of a pilot and waved around rubber bracelet to prove he cares.

1. This is EXACTLY what Andrew Sullivan predicted!!!
Wow... Sullivan was right.

http://time.blogs.com/daily_dish/2006/09/the_rove_campai.html

Next week, I'm informed via troubled White House sources, will see the full unveiling of Karl Rove's fall election strategy. He's intending to line up 9/11 families to accuse McCain, Warner and Graham of delaying justice for the perpetrators of that atrocity, because they want to uphold the ancient judicial traditions of the U.S. military and abide by the Constitution. He will use the families as an argument for legalizing torture, setting up kangaroo courts for military prisoners, and giving war crime impunity for his own aides and cronies. This is his "Hail Mary" move for November; it's brutally exploitative of 9/11; it's pure partisanship; and it's designed to enable an untrammeled executive. Decent Republicans, Independents and Democrats must do all they can to expose and resist this latest descent into political thuggery. If you need proof that this administration's first priority is not a humane and effective counter-terror strategy, but a brutal, exploitative path to retaining power at any price, you just got it.

21. Ol' Andrew must be really upset
Think of all those video clips of him attacking Kerry, Gore and others and defending Bush. Now he sounds exactly like me. The world is turning dayglo.

Abu Ghraib put him over the edge and he hasn't returned to his previous level of asshattery since.

30. WHAT 911 Families? Families of the air passengers who, oddly, do not
appear in the Social Security Death Index (free online)? Only about 25% of the passengers on those flights appear there.

These same families also are not listed as getting 9/11 payouts. It's public info. And it's weird.

Hmmmmm.

31. The Social Security thing is a crock
Nobody appears in the Social Security Death Index unless their family reports their death to the Social Security Administration -- which is not required unless the person was receiving Social Security payments.

I did some checking the first time this claim came up, and everyone from the flights who was listed was over 65. That's your 25%. There's nothing weird about it.

Edited on Tue Sep-12-06 03:03 PM by elehhhhna
...as do children who have ss#'s. Look your dead acquainences up & see.

Have you also looked up the 9/11 hush fund payouts?

Do tell.

6. It was like this...
He said that the 9/11 families encouraged the speech last night because they support the war on terror, and did not want to hear about 9/11 again, they want to hear about September 12, 2006.

Then he pulled out a photo given to him by one of the 9/11 families.

Hope a transcript shows up soon.

start wars and write speeches. this is according to snow.
our president has given over the reigns to a bunch of grief stricken survivors. anything less, snow claims, would be arrogance on the part of our president. he spent 5 min on how the prez is NOT arrogant. okay, tony. got it. he's the humble servant of the 9/11 families, and the rest of us should back the fuck off.

it in front of the press corps and LIE LIKE A RUG. Someone needs to talk to this family and ask them if killing more sons than died on 9-11 is helping?

Tony Snow is such a slut.

10. What Was Said? Anyone Have More Information?
I try to keep my email buddies informed of all this stuff even though I no longer will watch the briefings or anything "The Corrupt Ones" because it's pure SLIME most of the time!

I watch Democracy Now for the most part and will have to catch it later today... got a phone call right in the middle of David Corn & Michael Isikoff! Their new book "Hubris" looks to be an in depth look at what really transpired regarding Plame. I suppose I could just go to the site and check it out myself!

It was looking to be a great interview with Amy Goodman regarding Valerie Plame... from the little I caught they actually connect more dots to Rove, however as we ALL know Red Rover is still doing the dirty work! This person has orchestrated so much putrid vile upon America it's almost impossible to understand WHY he keeps getting away with it!!

Watching The Royal Idiot & Matt Lauer (sp) last night on KO I was struck at how mean spirited the whole thing was. The Idiot was practically poking Matt when he talked! Wonder what they have to give him to keep him from blowing a gasket???

16. "This was not a speech about Iraq," said Snow,
who insisted that most of Bush's comments on what to do in that war-torn country were "uncontroversial."

"It really comes down to three or four sentences that may be construed as controversial, but the president was making the point that, according to (terrorist chief Osama) bin Laden, who, by acclamation, is an important figure in the war on terror, this has become the central front," said Snow.

The spokesman blamed Democrats, instead, for using the occasion to assail the president and his policies, and made clear that the White House would resume its aggressive political strategy ahead of the election.

"It is a hugely important issue for the United States, arguably, the most important issue we face right now. And we welcome the political debate. But the president decided yesterday was not a day for partisanship," said Snow.

they always drag out Bin Laden before every election. If they're so damned concerned about him, why hasn't he been captured by now? Oh, that's right, the Bin Laden family has a lot of business ties to Shrub Inc. My bad - duh.. If Bin Laden didn't exist, the Repukes would have to invent him. I'm still waiting for the inevitable "tape" that they always manage to conveniently find before every election. Come on Rethugs, what's the hold up? I mean, if Bin Laden is dead or you have him in hiding, just fake it. It's worked before -

Ain't got no money, or job, or health insurance, and gasoline is $2.50 a gallon, but a feller cain't take no chances wit' them thar dangerous tarrarists ah runnin' loose. 15. Are they REALLY going to get THAT many 9/11 families?
I would think the families will be MORE inclined to join the 9/11 Truth team requesting an INDEPENDENT investigation into 9/11. The women on C-SPAN last night asked 'WHERE ARE THE OTHER 9/11 FAMILILES'? These women threw down the gauntlet, now others can join them.

His family is making plenty of money (along with this Bushes and their other friends) on this whole GWOT fiasco. I often think they're laughing at us, all the way to the bank. Priceless blood, trillions in treasure, and the very soul of our democracy is being spilled out on the floor at their feet - while they demand that we hasten the process, lest we get blind-sided again.

It looks just like a protection racket from where I sit.
