He may be a good policymaker (I don't know). Please fill us in on why this man is the Senate Minority Leader?

:patriot:

1. Wait. What Are You Complaining About?
You really didn't quite elaborate on what your issue is.

6. The Speaker of the House is Dennis Hastert.
Reid is the Minority Leader.

And I bet he knows the words of the National Anthem.

8. He is the Senate Minority Leader. He's the one who brought Jeffords
out of the GOP camp and let the Dems have the Senate majority for a while in 2001-2002.

He's actually very, very good at what he does. He gets the Democratic senators to work together on things and that's not easy.

The only thing that's a problem on TV is that his voice is soft and he's not a jerk. So he's not a loud, pontificating, *ss.

12. OIC. Very different skills, not both in one package?
"He's actually very, very good at what he does. He gets the Democratic senators to work together on things and that's not easy."

That's something.

"The only thing that's a problem on TV is that his voice is soft and he's not a jerk. So he's not a loud, pontificating, *ss."

It seems the voice is not as much a problem (except combined with) as the delivery-- It's surprising that when Dems have a high visibility media spot, the message is soft-pedaled. The Repukes are making much of this "Democrats don't have a messge" thing-- and getting the public to repeat the charge like Dittoheads.

Tonight might have been the time for some stronger statements.

Harry Reid is Senate Democratic leader, elected by his peers.

He's an odd duck for a Democratic heavy... but he's OUR duck!:dem:

edited for brevity! :)
