Was there ANY TIME during shrub's political career that he appeared before

audiences that were NOT screened/handpicked? Did he ever do this in TX? Any TX DUers have any memory of this?

I don't recall any time during his entire presidency that he appeared before non screened audiences, and I'm not even sure about campaign 2000.

1. I'm pretty sure that the campaign of 2000, the audience was not picked.

But remember the inaguaration of 2001? THe anti-* people were at the end of the road where the president gets out of his car to walk the rest of the way to symbolize he is one of the people. * rode instead. There really wasn't much to protest until people starting waking up after 9-11.

good times...good times...I think that's when they decided he was too precious to be exposed to We the People.
