"American Morning" cites NYT Poll, but no mention of Bush approval rating
On CNN's "American Morning" just now, Soledad O'Brien reported the new NYT/CBS poll findings, in terms of the "torture issue," showing that most Americans want the U.S. to stick to international agreements.

On the "how best to confront enemies" issue, Soledad reported that the country is evenly split within the margin of error.

By the way, there was no mention, absolutely none whatsoever, of Bush's 37% approval rating in her CBS/NYT Poll story.

None. Whatsoever. That would interfere with the hyper "Bush is back and Gallup proves it" narrative of the last two days, I suppose.

1. Sadly, CNN no longer provides a public service to inform the citizenry
Slightly OT, I'm in the process of digitizing all of my old current event VHS tapes. Last night, I was capturing/watching election night coverage from 1992 (a mix of NBC, CBS and CNN) and was SHOCKED at how the quality of the news has degraded since then. People like Bernie Shaw and John Chancellor just READING the news and sparing us the spin, commentary and indignation. In a way, it made me quite sad...:(
