I just wonder how long it will be before Ann Coulter starts saying she had self-inflicted wounds, The Swiftboaters call her a traitor, and the character assasination screams to the high heavens.

His campaign has already been graced with fundraisers by Laura Bush, Karl Rove and Dick Cheney. Roskam is getting a lot of RNC coaching and he's not wasting a minute smearing Tammy D.

I have high hopes for her, but she is finding the going tough.

She's got to raise her profile in the community by being seen here rather than allowing the thugs to perpetuate the stereotype that she is just a DNC prop, a "carpetbagger".

She's going outside the area for most of her fundraising and support it appears from articles I've read.

Tammy's got to do more to convince people that she's really invested in this area, emotionally and intellectually, to get around the fact that Roskam was born and raised here (which is why is he such a despicable fundy Repuke). The area is demographically changing as more people from Chicago migrate out to the western suburbs so I don't think the citizens are adverse to someone who isn't directly from Dupage Co, but she's got to sustain more of a "presence" so people believe she at least knows the difference between Wheaton and Naperville.
