Dean Rips Back At Bush
Dean: President Bush Fails to Explain Domestic Spying Program

1/23/2006 4:36:00 PM

Contact: Karen Finney of Democratic National Committee, 202-863-8148

WASHINGTON, Jan. 23 /U.S. Newswire/ -- The following was Released today by the Democratic National Committee:

President Bush today began a three-day public relations campaign aimed at selling his domestic spying program to the American people. Instead of answering questions about the legality of his program, President Bush offered little more than the standard, shopworn rhetoric and tired distortions we have heard since the program was revealed.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean today issued the following statement:

"In our democracy no one, not even the President, is above the law. Democrats understand that we must take extraordinary measures to defend Americans, and existing laws were crafted to ensure that the President can legally listen to conversations when necessary. So the question remains: why did President Bush deliberately choose to break the law, as the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service has twice reported? The American people deserve an answer."

ironic way, the gulf between the office and the chimp widens. :)

And this fucking CRIMINAL gets a free goddamn pass.

12. "No one . . . is above the law"
Sound familiar, Republicans? And while Clinton was thoroughly investigated and convicted of nothing, suddenly all the law-and-order Republicans can't be bothered to look into whether Bush is breaking the law. Where are all the stalwart defenders of freedom on the Republican side of the congressional chambers? When the "charge" was lying about something that was nobody's business, they couldn't be redirected, dissuaded, or deflected. When the charge is a very real breach of the Constitution, the highest law of of the land, Republicans can't understand what the fuss is all about.

25. Well, how old ARE you? Dean was in his late 50s at that point.
and still is, actually. It took him all his life up to then to be ready for that job, I guess you could say. Keep doing what you're doing, what calls to you, what makes your heart sing. You'll get there sooner or later. Trust me. I'm Dean's age and I just finally discovered my Life Purpose a few weeks ago, and just as they promised: it is something that I've always done, always been involved in, and I do quite naturally and would do for free anyway. But it took that long for me to have everything in place to even discover it, let alone do it effectively.

23. Who gives a crap what the presstitutes say?
As long as they show Dean and let people know what he's saying before the blow dried bobbleheads and pink tutu DLC Dems purse their lips and start talking about how unseemly it is for a Democrat to fight back, people will respond to DEAN, not the wimp squad.

After all, it's been decades since people heard passion from a Democrat. My guess is that they've missed it.

27. Stay tough, Dr. Dean. History will prove you correct.
Bush has committed a federal crime. His administration and others are co-defendants in the commission of that crime. They have violated the Constitution, federal law, the American people and their oathes of office.

Where the FUCK is the FBI? :grr: NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW!!! Where the FUCK are the arrests? :grr:

29. Bush is challenging democracy - he claims to want to spread democracy
as he undermines it both at home and abroad.

"In our democracy no one, not even the President, is above the law." Period.
