Some push
So changing the name of the program is a push back? Sound more like a lame attept at justification of a totally illegal activity. For the record what is a "key" lawmaker. I have a feeling in Bushes mind it's a lawmaker that once bought stays bought.

President Bush pushed back Monday at critics of his once-secret domestic spying effort, saying it should be termed a "terrorist surveillance program" and contending it has the backing of legal experts, key lawmakers and the Supreme Court.
