Surely there is one. I don't think it has ever been done but surely there is a check/balance there?

Edit: One of these days I'll learn to hit SpellCheck before posting. :D

1. same as any other impeachment
There have been a number of impeachment efforts directed at lower federal judges and a half dozen or so convictions. The only instance of a SCOTUS justice being impeached is Samuel Chase in 1805 and he was acquitted. Wikipedia has a list. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_in_the_United_States#Officials_impeached

4. i think i've read that only the president can be impeached. i don't know
what the remedy is for supreme court judges...but if you are thinking about impeachment for alito, then let's think about impeachment for scalia, roberts, thomas and alito.

5. When I was a kid, there were "Impeach Earl Warren" billboards and
bumper stickers all over the place.

8. We should make up "Impeach Antonin Scalia" bumperstickers now
He was the ringleader in the Stolen Election 2000--no, we haven't forgotten and we never will!

That's why we should impeach Scalia

7. See Article II of the Constitution
Same procedure as impeaching a President.
