Tweety rips Boehner a new one.
I'm not a big Matthews fan, but recently he certainly seems to have found his voice vis-a-vis Shrub's ever-changing bullshit rationale for his war of choice.

I got slammed by a couple of DUers for being a bigot (anti-transgender) so I stopped posting it.

2. Beohner was sweating like Nixon during this interview. He looked
shocked by the whole interview. I guess he thought (and with good reason) he was talking to a kindred spirit. I guess Chris skipped his meds (koolaid) yesterday, and look what came out!

4. He made RNCer Gillespie dizzy day before, just hounding him about MACACA
remark, saying "come on... you really dont believe he made it up" over and over as he replayed the tape. Whem Matthews is having fun, he is just a pig in shit.

5. BS. . They're ALLOWED to dis B*sh on Iraq now...
Rove's strategy meeting made it clear that moaning about Iraq was OK now if his boys need to "distance themselves" from the idiot son. Tweety is still working for them.

They have to stay on his side on the "war on terror". . Of course, the TORTURE bill may make that harder...

7. Blog entry on the subject:
http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/index.html (scroll down page)

Thirty-four House Democrats crossed over to support the Bush administration's detainee legislation Wednesday, but it wasn't enough for House Majority Leader John Boehner. "It is outrageous that House Democrats, at the urging of their leaders, continue to oppose giving President Bush the tools he needs to protect our country," Boehner says.

Outrageous? Try this.

In an appearance on "Hardball" just after the vote -- an appearance in which he said that "virtually every Democrat" voted against the White House plan -- Boehner defended the war in Iraq by arguing that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and at least an "indirect" role in 9/11.

"To think that he didn't have weapons of mass destruction is pure lunacy," Boehner told Chris Matthews. "He had them. What did he do with them? We don't know." We don't need to say this, but apparently we do: After a two-year search, the Iraq Survey Group concluded that Saddam had no WMD at the time the U.S. invaded and found no evidence that he had transferred such weapons to Syria, the "he must have hidden them" theory of choice for many of the true believers.

Boehner was a little more circumspect on his claim that Saddam Hussein was somehow involved in 9/11, but he made it nonetheless. He acknowledged that Saddam didn't have a "direct" role in 9/11 but insisted that he did play a "supportive role" by supporting terrorist training camps in Iraq. The Senate Intelligence Committee has found no evidence that Saddam had any ties to al-Qaida, and George W. Bush has acknowledged that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Matthews asked Boehner if he was really asserting that Saddam was "in league with" al-Qaida before the attacks. "He was providing cover for them, yes," Boehner said.

8. I saw it
I wrote him an email to tell what a great job he did w/ Boehner and told him he needs to act like a true journalist like that more often.

(Ofcourse at the end of his show he told that Cruella Deville Harris he was a fan of hers so...yeah.)

9. As much as I loath Tweety, I gotta say this.
He is a smart man, after all, Tip didn't fill his staff with third cousins of friends who couldn't get a job anywhere else, unlike other congress-critters I could name.

And I gotta give him credit for looking askance at the start of the Iraq war. So my take is this:

He's just sick and tired of the Repug BS on the issue and is showing his disgust by doing what he normally does with Dems; Speak over them, shout out 20 questions all at once, thereby spraying the studio with spittle.

On an aside: People wonder why I watch "SpitBall". It's simple. I have a TV and a Nerf ball, with Tweety on I can get my daily dose of aerobic exercise with sitting in the comfort of my living room. Most shows you can work up a damn good sweat!
