My anger about this bill is so unspeakably huge. Perhaps I'm not fit for company right now, not even virtual company.

4. I think we're all feeling anger and I know with me - sadness.

I've been listening to these republican senators talk about this bill as if it's wonderful; talk about detainees as if they've already been tried and convicted. They are so bold and deceitful and it's all about power. They don't give a damn about this country or the Constitution and they have violated their oaths of office. I am sad about that, and about the fact that if I walked out into my office now and asked anyone out there if they know what's going on, they'd be clueless. I am also sad because I feel completely helpless, especially after making phone calls to my senators Cornyn and Hutchison which will be ignored.

I've called and called, and am now face to face with my own impotence.

Well, I've got to get off the computer and get some work done. But thank you for the :hug:

And I won't be feeling this way forever. I need a day or so to vent and grieve, but then I'm going all out against my repuke congressman who voted for this.
