4. I was wondering that myself.

I lost contact last night right after the Senate's torture vote and late this afternoon as well.

If I know Skinner, et al, come November 7th, DU will be at Level 3 all day. No avatars, signatures, etc.

At least I hope so, I'll find out October 10th if I have to work as an election judge here in Illinois. If I do, I'll definitely be needing DU by the time I get home that night.

8. My guess would be NO!

I know DU has expanded their server capacity, but I would doubt it's worth expanding to what it would take for one day or night! I guess most of us will have to try the next day sometime.

15. We'll go to DefCon 3, 4, 5 - the Admins drop the extra's along the way.

You won't be able to check your posts, search, avatars will be gone, stuff like that.

They strip it to the basics to keep it going but they also keep adding more servers, etc. to keep up with demand but big days always seem to overwhelm the system.

(Well, there WAS that problem with the votes and the machines and who really won and who didn't...)

DU is really good about tossing out all the furniture on nights like that. No extras.
Standing room only. But hey, it's a good way to get close to all of our DU'er friends. :)

21. I don't know how long you've been here. The first debate

between Kerry and * was a sight to behold, both on TV and here at DU. We had a blast.
Too bad that was so short lived.

On election night things really get hopping. Have your champagne chilled.
And hopefully this time we'll all have hangovers of happiness the next day. :)
