This is getting to be too much.
The times seem to be changing. Or are they? The tide seems to be turning. Or does it? The Democrats are set to sweep both houses in Congress. Or will they?

It seems that so much optimism and hope for better times is being muddied out by the potential for failure. I am filled with anxiety for every time I think about our election. I am paying more attention to polling than I am my school work or organization. I am obsessed.

It seems that the only way for me to rest easy until now and election day is for me to simply not pay attention. I need to stop going on the internet and checking the election predictions sites, rasmussen, gallup, and other polls. I'll certainly always know about the basic big things going on, but stressing out about the election isn't worht my time or effort.

It sounds simple to follow through if you have the self control to focus on daily tasks rather than obsess on a national election. It's harder for me than it seems.

I am writing this down to give a little more of a "Signed and sealed" aura to my statement in hopes that I actually follow through.

The only time I really want to know about what's going on in these races is on election day. Any day before tha is too soon for me. Let's see if I have the self control to keep my word.

 :eyes:

1. I wish I could go into suspended animation
until November 8th. Actually, only wake me up when we control both houses.

3. A pretty good indicator will be the msm buzz as the election gets
closer. Their pundits will get their hands on internal polls that are more accurate than the regular ones. My take on it is that once the msm pundits start making predictions it's all over one way or the other.

5. The polls are rubbish.
They are all over the map. Something really screwy is happening this year. All the non-poll info we have is all in the Dem's favor. All of it. And if you look at the polls, it tells you one important thing. The Democrats will likely lose ZERO House seats this year. ZERO!! The only Dem Senate seat in real danger is NJ, and that's likely going to be held by Dems, too, at this point.

There's a big, big shake-up happening and ChimpCo can only do what they always do, "Stay the Course". It's all they have left. They've painted themselves into a corner and there's no way out for them. The electorate are not as stupid as some people say. They're not being fooled any longer.
