Nat'l Ctr for Missing & Exploited Children - Foley Statement Screen Shots
John Walsh's National Center for Missing & Exploited Children issued a statement this morning regarding Congressman Mark Foley's recent resignation after being outed has a pedophile.




Earlier this morning, DUer Gully visited their website and alerted us that the NCMEC had issued the following statement:

Then a few hours later, they revised there statement and it seems they will no longer 'miss' Mr. Foley.




Then this afternoon they issued a completely reworded statement. Seems not only will they no longer 'miss' Mr. Foley but they don't think it will be a great loss to Florida anymore either.




Amazing how fast people will flip flop when they get caught with their pants down.

3. This exactly tracks how information moves now...
There was an uproar with the first post. (It MAY have been put up by someone who didn't have the TV on)It was quickly replaced with the second (as a result of the aforementioned uproar - this MAY have been done by the same person, still without information)

Now that everyone knows about this shitheel. . they get the REAL statement up there.

I think this is a good organization that has done good work (that no one was doing before they came along) and they shouldn't get slammed because of Foley.

That is the reason he got started in these efforts to confront child abusers.

And, yes, I know that is no guarentee he is a saint, but he does deserve some understanding for his motivation

Adam Walsh was killed. His dad has worked very hard to spare others that pain.

Allow his group the room to adjust the statement as they came to learn more.

That is not flip-flopping - that is growing and adapting. Not unlike coming out against the Iraq invasion once the truth about all the lies to get the war on stated trickling out.

Allow for people to change their minds as they gather more information. It makes it possible to win allies. ;)

10. Bull, they knew exactly why he resigned
when they posted the original statement.

If they didn't know what happened they shouldn't have posted a statement at all. There was no pressure or reason for them to do so.

Foley was Walsh's friend and it is only because the Internets nailed him on his real reaction that they have now issued the new, improved statement.

Save venom for the GOP House Leaders who knew for nearly a year and allowed Foley to stay on that committee! THERE are some people deserving A LOT of contempt.

Everybody I know have emailed them and asked what kind of organization do they have, when just because someone is a congressman he can get away with this type of behaviour. I guess they got snowed under with complaints.

I do want to point out and commend is this:

How awesome is it that there are so many of us, sitting at our computers and catching the screen shots of what these people do before things get scrubbed?
