Woodward wants to bring down a second administration...
I do think that's his motive for this book after cozying up to them in the previous two books. It's not for any sense of duty as an American. It's for notoriety, popularity, legacy or whatever you care to call it. The money is nice, too.

1. Maybe so. But I hope he succeeds anyhow.
This administration needs bringing down even more than Nixon's did.

5. his last book, that was flattering to the administration came out ...
...just before the election, if I am not mistaken? Had he wanted to bring em down, he should have told the truth from the beginning. Instead he gave them cover under his persona of a credible, truth telling, journalist. His book came out at a time when Clarke's and O'Neil's books came out, and minimized what those who had worked in the Whitehouse were saying about the debacle that is Iraq.

I have been pissed at him since then. He protected the administration.

7. If telling the truth brings them down then so be it!

I'm tired of all the lies and stagecraft. Our country needed saving from Bushco.

9. Has he explained himself at all?

If so, I've missed it. That could be fascinating, sort of like a reformed drunk out professin' the faith. In an articulate manner, of course.

10. Too little too late
tell that to the families of the almost 3,000 US soldiers dead because of this criminal administration - and remember that 3K number is not anywhere near the real number because they don't count the death unless you die on the "battlefield" - so God only knows what the real number is - and tell that to all the seriously wounded soldiers - and tell that to the families of the 100 to 300 thousand innocent Iraqis and tell that to all of us in the US who will be affected by the collapse of this economy if this insane spending doesn't stop...2 FREAKING BILLION DOLLARS a week it is beyond insanity

If Woodward knew this shit before 2004 and said nothing than may he rot in hell - he disgusts me.
